Our new Coach could be Tony Elliott (rumor)

I’m riding with Clint.

TE might be the next coach, but I don’t believe this thing is over.

Per my buddy who played on Clemson’s ‘81 Natty team, Elliott’s told Dabo he’s headed to Rocky Top.

Welcome Coach Elliott, I hope you’re here for the next 20 years!

GBO!
Tiger.net claims an insider that says Clemson has not been contacted from anyone at UT and it’s a ruse. I hope your two minutes of keyboard games was worth it.

I said it elsewhere. Elliott HC. Steele DC. Bring Marion Hobby from Cincinnati. Tee and Graham stay. Still have some coaching slots to fill but I’d like that crowd.

I'm riding with our history as a university under three separate AD's. There is zero reason to believe that this time will be any different other than worse considering we have sanctions hovering over us.

He has called plays since 2015.
He wasn’t there to call plays vs OSU, and they lost to a team they should have killed.
Our standards are so low at TN we really should just bury the program and call it a day. He’s not been the solo coordinator and was co up until ‘20. So everyone thinking he’s the next Saban need to chill. We need a PROVEN coach that can at least right the ship before the toxic fan base runs them off.

Please support whoever is hired! Damn it so many of you are delusional. We're a dumpster fire facing NCAA sanctions and many just blow that off like it's nothing and we can waltz in and hire Meyer or anyone we want. Has recent history not shown you anything? We're in worse shape than ever and very few coaches want to take on this mess. We better hope the next coach can navigate us through this mess to a respectable level. Geez what morons

It's never Jim Gentry or Patrick Hughes. It is always my buddy, my friend, my friend's neighbor. And there's always some nebulous tie to a program. I guess being on a national championship winning team 40 years ago is a little more solid, but still...

I'd rather Tennessee hire Scott Satterfield away from Louisville than hire Tony Elliott.

Couldn’t disagree more. I don’t understand the desire to hire these guys who have no experience on the big Power 5 stage. Chad well, Liepold, Napier, Satterfield.
But I trust the new AD. His track record is good. .

The same people proclaiming an Elliot hire is the death of the program are the same ones that believe we can land Urban or we will get Lane or Hugh.
Hugh is the only one of those names that makes any type of sense to me, but I don't see us going that route with potential sanctions coming. Those people should probably be ignored.

Don’t bother telling these guys anything. They beg for what you hear ot see on other sites or from other people, then when you tell them and/or show them, you catch hell if it is something they don’t want to hear.

If that’s the case then I will support him until he proves he’s not worthy of the support. I hope he is successful and here for the next 20 years. His success is our success, after all.
If he is the chosen one, his buy out needs to be paid from the AD’s salary.

Why would Bob stoops coach other league recently but not want to come to UT?
I can see having to recruit, deal with practice limitations, and player eligibility getting old. In the XFL he didn’t have to deal with any of that. He can just focus on football.

If this is true, this would literally be doing the same thing we did last time except it's an OC instead of a DC.
