Our Recruiting doesn't look so good all of a sudden

Don't get me wrong...I am a Kiffin fan.

but all the top players it appears went to Tex or Florida and even bammer players looked good.

those top 3 classes cannot and will not be caught.
Florida might be better in 2 years than this year.
dam they are loaded recruiting wise.

we have to have classes like what Fl got if we ever want to win the east let alone the SEC or natl title again.

well doesn't look good right now, but there is still a month left. regardless we wont catch gators or the tide, they are just reloading.

dude, even after willis decommitted we're still ranked 6th according to rivals with a month until signing day. relax, the sky isn't falling.

Im expecting some big surprises on NSD idk why I just have a weird feeling

I'm not. It's all about momentum and frankly we don't have it this year. Last year we had it with all the excitement surrounding the new staff and the promises they made. Recruits sat up and took notice. This year we've lost that momentum due in part to coaches leaving, hostess gate, the off the field arrests, and us getting waxed by VT in the Chick Fil A bowl. Perhaps Kiffin and crew can make the best of things and still wind up with a top 10 class. However I remember him specifically saying "we WILL have the #1 recruiting class next year." It doesn't look like that's going to happen now.

Dont' misunderstand me. I'm not screaming "the sky is falling." I'm simply looking at this realistically. If we finish in the top 10 in recruiting, that will still be a respectable recruiting class but it would be disappointing after all the hype of this staff over their recruiting abilities. I was really expecting a top 3 finish. Right now we'll be lucky to finish stronger than we did in last year's recruiting class when the coaches only had 3 months to recruit.

These high school kids are 17-18 year old kids, and no matter how many stars they are rated, some of them will be a total washout!

Do you obsess over recruiting enough to rattle off who we are in it for still?

To switch guys like Quarles, Shon Coleman, LaDarius Owens, Justin Hunter, Michael Dyer, Corey Nelson and TJ Stripling?

Uncommitted guys like Chaz Green, Torrian Wilson, John Cullen, James Stone, Arie Kouandjio and Damien Robinson (just OL).
Demetrius Wright, Ahmad Dixon, Lache Seastrunk, Corey Lemonier, Jeffrey Whitaker, Christian Jones, Josh Shirley, Dietrich Riley, Victor Hampton...

We will finish with a strong 28. If we do not, it means it was stupid for us to say no to Riggs, to Gio Bernard, to TJ Leifheit...

I just cannot think at this point that our staff is that incompetent that they missed over and over on guys they thought were in the house who were not. As far as I know that only happened with Jeff Luc. Josh Shaw, Kenny Shaw and some others made the staff feel like they had a great shot and went elsewhere but that is okay...

I may join the bellyaching after NSD, but I think I will instead be ecstatic about all the talent coming in.

I'm not "bellyaching." I'm just stating my opinion on where I think we stand recruiting wise. Last time I checked, that was still allowed.

It is supposed to snow here this week in middle TN...does that mean that all of 2010 is going to be bad? Thank God that this poster isn't leading our troops into battle.
