Out of State Vols?

VOL native held captive "by the almighty dollar" in Jonesboro, AR is ready for the pilgrimage home.....

I rely on GAMEPLAN to supply the video and the interweb provides the audio from the VOL Network. Although, I can get many of the games on local stations from Memphis, I buy the package to get the Homecoming game as well as other games around the country.

I hope to move to Chattanooga, TN or Huntsville, AL by March 2007.

The best thing to come out of Arkansas is I-40 East. Trust me........I know!!!

GO VOLS!!!

I recently moved from East TN to Eastern NC (near Greenville) about 1 year ago. The one thing that killed me the most was not being able to see the Channel 6, 8, or 10 news to stay updated with my Vols. I didn't used to be so internet savy but it's my only contact with the Vols anymore (I'm all about some blogs, and I just registered here) Also out here they show O's games on FSN, I never see my Braves.

Anyway who else is Out of State and how do you deal with it?

Austin, TX.

Not as hard as living elsewhere in SEC country would be... Many here actually acknowledge the SEC is the best conference (as opposed to the local big 12), and say they'd love to witness a game in Knoxville, Gainesville or Baton Rouge.

Othewise, thank God for the internet and DirectV college gameplan.

i live in eastern washington....lol yeah i know those teams are here lol college football is alright over here but there are like no die hard fans though
I'm sorry about where you live. My mom's boyfriend lives in Kennewick... I've had to go out there. Tri-Cities/Pullman/Spokane is not my favorite area around.

And yeah, most Pac-10 fans are more casual for sure.

Tulsa , Oklahoma

The Vols got their nickname for its sons volunteering way past the asked for quota.

The Sooners got their nickname for cheating and jumping the gun in a race for free land.

Live in Missouri now. Moved from near Atlanta.

Previously we'd lived in NC, Seattle, and Chicago.

Use the internet mostly and word of mouth. I'm thankful that UT has remained a good program and great TV draw during that period. It has kept them on TV alot.

I live in Huntsville, Al. Close to Tn yes, but down here its all alabama n auburn. I came down here to play ball, I'm from Lebanon, Tn (home of Cracker Barrel). It was hard not seeing the Vols on the news everynite, but we do get some love, not much at all though.

I live in Cary, NC near Raleigh and i go watch the vols at sports bars that carry satelite and game plan package. I usually run into 1 or 2 vols at a particular bar within a mile of my house. The bar i go to is a the Va Tech fan club and they get on my nerves. The young va tech fans never realized they didnt have a team worth a damn before 1993.

Is there a radio station that broadcasts the Vols games that also has a live internet feed? I'm in Louisiana, and not all games are on down here. I tried watching the ESPN Gamecast on the internet for the Air Force game, but I was getting faster play by play on here. If there is a radio station, please let me know so I can catch the games that aren't on TV.

Live in Oviedo, FL (Orlando area). Probably about 10miles from LawGator. Will also make it a point to eat plenty of gator this week. Am hoping for win vs UF so I can take a little more pleasure then most having Power T on car in this area.

live in Charlotte, NC and it's in the middle of ACC country, but we're close enough to the South CArolina border that getting the games isn't too tough...there is an alumni bar here, and plenty of TN alum to go around....and there are a ton of other SEC fans here...mainly UGA, USC, UF, TN....see a smattering of Ole Miss and MSU stickers on cars. some bama and auburn as well...SEC pretty well represented in this all ACC market truth be told.

Man this post has made one hell of a resurgance. Anyway My North Carolina brothers rejoice.

I went back to TN for the Air Force game and ate at Calhouns on the river, man do I miss real Tennessee BBQ. Out here in NC there sauces are real vinegar based and kinda sting. When you eat it you get that "What the :censored: did I just eat? look on your face. I hate some NC BBQ.
