I just assumed they were flying given his tight timeline with his highschool game on Friday. But they're DRIVING down. Also said there won't be many top recruits on campus so the staff can spend extra, undivided time with him. This all sounds very good to me.

I believe it is very good news for the family to be with him and it is not an official visit.

I think they have one thing really wrong here. I would be stunned if we arranged to have recruits make an unofficial visit for the Bristol game. There would be no facilities to greet recruits and no way to control where they sit for the game.

They can definitely still control where they sit. I'm sure we'll still have some recruits that weekend.

They can see a program that attracted 150,000 people to a game.

I'm not saying we will have official visitors in for the game, but there's always visitors at neutral site games for every school.

I know recruits have been at neutral site games but do you think they'd be on official visits? I honestly have no idea so I'm just asking a question but it seems like you'd be giving up a lot (from the school's perspective) to have a kid use an official off campus.

Yeah it wouldn't be an official visit, but you can get 3 tickets to a game on an unofficial visit.

Another reason for Wade to go out of state, like his parents are encouraging:

Wade played linebacker in Clairton’s scrimmage Friday against Steel Valley. Steel Valley features WR-DB Paris Ford, a Pitt recruit and one of the best players in the WPIAL. Ford and Wade got into some sparring on Twitter, and Wade didn’t take kindly to it.

“It wasn’t a little joke. It was kind of serious,” said Wade.

Ford tweeted: “we was moving it bro stop flexin, & you the #1 DB in the nation but didn’t even watch me? Not real bro”

Wade tweeted back: “I’m being a team player n playing where my team need me while boys ineligible lol smh.”

Ford also tweeted: “Clairton gonna need a miracle this year they [stink].”

Wade said about Ford: “He was trying to take some shots about our team and everything. … We competed [in the scrimmage] and went at them. He made it seem like we didn’t.”
