I will be surprised if he shows up. Sure star players get away with more but that doesn't make for a good atmosphere around a team.

I guess I just expect everyone to do the right thing, but do you not think that he made sure it was ok with the coaches before he purchased plane tickets..

If I were a coach and a kid was going to miss a weekday practice, I would want him to miss Thursday. For most teams, the film is studied, the changes are installed, and Thursday us a light day. As far as the rigors of air travel, the player would, in theory at least, be sitting at a desk for most of the fmday anyway. Desk vs plane seat probably doesn't affect conditioning over the, what, two hour flight? I can see him asking the coach and I can see the coach saying it wasn't a problem.

Did I read it correctly? Tennessee plays on Saturday--his high school game is on Friday---the day before his visit. I thought it said he and his family would leave for Tennessee after his high school game.

Never mind----wrong game :rock::rock:

Tennessee plays on Thursday...he would leave right after the game is over Thursday night since his game is friday.

I just wonder, coming down on his own dime the day before his own game and has announced that he'll attend a TN game on official this fall. Wonder if he's ready to commit and that's why he's coming

You'd be surprised what a little communication can do for a good atmosphere around a team of teenagers.

Come on guys, don't you remember when you where 16 or 17 yrs old? How fast we recovered with just a little rest? He will go home from school sleep a couple of hrs or so then he will be good as new.
