I know there are several guys here who don't think he is elite. That's cool, I respect that opinion. I like his tape a lot though. Smooth hips, good speed, nose for the ball, tackles well and doesn't mind hitting somebody. I'd love to add him to this class. Our secondary has potential to be DISGUSTING if we get these guys in. Come be a Vol!
Wade is a physical corner that plays better with pads on. I think he ends up as a NB if he were to choose UT.
His camp vids against WR's hasn't been that great relative to other CB's. He's not a lock down island CB from what I've seen.
Here is a vid from the 5 star challenge. If you want to see what a 5* man to man cover corner looks like.... watch AJ Blades in the video.

Agree with this 100% (both in the Wade assessment and Blades). I watched the video with my father and said that Blades as only a rising junior was easily the best DB on the field that I saw. He's got an exceptional future.
My dad then pointed out how good the Blades brothers were at Miami in the mid-80s. He then added that we spanked their a$$e$ in the sugar bowl, which led to me watching for the first time the entire game on YouTube (I was only one at the time).
It's a shame we only had Ken Donahue as a DC for a few years before he retired. He was from just outside of Knoxville originally and played during the pinnacle of UT football under Neyland (1947-1950 -- just missed the NC in 1951). Donahue was likely a very, very big reason for Bear Bryant's success at Bama (coached their from 1964-1984). Our D in the '86 Sugar Bowl was unbelievable. The previous game, Miami hung 58 on Notre Dame (last game of the regular season), yet they never got into a rhythm against us. It's also impressive how few mistakes/turnovers that team made. Dickey was exceptional as a redshirt senior. It's amazing to think that he would never have played had it not been for Tony Robinson's injury. Tangent, I know.
