Also, we caught up with Lamont Wade's father briefly this week and right now there are no firm visit plans to see Tennessee next week. There were some rumblings he would be in town, but as of now there's nothing firm.

After Penn State has another about 6-6 season it'll be a UT and tOSU battle. tOSU already has 2 cb's committed tho and are up there with a couple more high rated CB's

Hopefully his connection with Shoop will help us out. From RTI:

Not only is Lamont Wade a lockdown corner, he is also electric with the ball in his hands. Not to mention he has great football intelligence. His versatility combined with his smarts make him a toy for Bob Shoop if he were to come to Tennessee. He could play corner or nickelback and would at least be worth considering as the occasional scat back for jet sweeps. But make no mistake about it. Wade’s bread and butter is shutting down opposing receiver’s.

I think Gibbs and Stephens would be projected to play similar positions, but Wade seems more like a corner. Seems like there was a lot of talk early on about Wade's relationship to Shoop and seems like there was even talk of him showing up to camps in Nashville in UT gear. Then, almost everything I've read since has been Big 10 talk. Who knows?

Yeah it sounded a lot more promising for us getting Wade back in Feb/Mar. Since it's looked like he's staying in the Big10.

A friend of mine who knows Wade said he thinks Wade heads to the SEC. Not because of anything Wade told him, just a personal feeling

Would have to like our chances against Mississippi State if he is SEC bound. Don't think Franklin is going to have a great year at PSU, maybe that will help get Wade out of PA.

Ive been feeling for a while that we have a stronger chance than people think. No inside information just a gut feeling.
