There's little congruence in "not being a genius" and being a dingbat. Barack Obama is an intelligent person. Sarah Palin is no smarter than most of the people you meet on a daily basis. It's why the thought of her is so appealing to so many people.

if Obama is so intelligent, why does he continually lie through his teeth about things he knows can be fact-checked and found to be lies?

It doesn't take a great deal of intelligence to be able to read from a teleprompter. It's his extemporaneous moments that reveal that he is little more than average.

Arrogance and hubris have little, if anything, to do with intelligence. Obama is publicly arrogant, almost recklessly, as regards his own political career.

In an appearance on The Adam Carolla Show Monday, Christopher Titus sparked outrage by joking that if Sarah Palin became president, he would:

“You know what man?” Titus said. “I am going to literally — if she gets elected president, I am going to hang out on the grassy knoll all the time, just loaded and ready — because you know what? It’s for my country. It’s for my country. If I got to sacrifice myself, it’s for my country.”

Liberal ideologies and policies are why this country is in the shape its in. Why would I want a President who's going to compromise with that?

Besides I haven't heard too many people on the left criticize President Obama for not compromising with Republicans.

She has much more of a disciplined mind than
she's given credit for.

regardless of her motives, the media following her acted like paparazzi trying to get pictures of Branjolina's baby. They whined if Palin changed schedules or took a turn they weren't expecting. They ridiculed her on a nightly basis then laughed all the way to the bank because they know that she's good for ratings.
