I used to like Biden, back in the early 90's, but am quickly coming to the conclusion that he's lost his mind.
Then why would a man as sharp as you claim Obama to be, pick him as a VP?
hussein, doesn't need a smart guy. he has an agenda to tax the hell out of us and give the government for control. he could use small Mike for his VP, it wouldn't matter.
When I read gibberish like this, it just reinforces my general impression that those who would describe themselves as ultra conservative really are lacking in intellect. And in some cases in basic skills.
do you really disagree that he has an agenda to raise taxes on the rich and increase govt?
See, when you put it like that, it's so unfairly perjorative.
I agree that he will raise taxes on the very, very welathiest. And I agree that on health care and some financial regulation, he will increase the size of government (though not as large as some of you seem to think).
But I do not agree that he is doing those things just for the sake of doing them.
I think he sees ending the tax breaks for the wealthiest as a) simply undoing what Bush did and which was purely political and unfair to being with, and b) necessary for revenue purposes. I mean, someone's taxes will have to go up, so why not on those who enjoyed a windfall for 8 years?
I think people are dramatically overstating the growth in the "size" of government. And I think that those overstatements are on purpose, to mislead people into thinking that major and dark and mysterious changes in their every day lives are coming soon, and that's just not true.

Oh i think he thinks he is doing the greater good. But that doesn't mean he doesn't think the greater good is served by raising taxes and increasing govt.
The rich already pay an overwhelming majority of taxes in this country. and obama isn't just talking about repealing teh bush tax cuts. he's talking about taking them back to pre reagan levels (as suggested by his chief economic advisor on cnbc recently).
As for your final statement i bolded I can't believe you actually believe that. Have you seen the chart of gov't expenditures since obama has taken office? as a % of gdp it's 3X higher than it has EVER BEEN. his deficit equals EVERY presidents deficit COMBINED before him (including bush).

You do realize that spending by the government = size of the government don't you?
You do realize that the new initiatives, centers, agencies, programs, etc. are basically open-ended commitments don't you?
