Pastor Jones has new gimmick

I would be critical of people for hanging Walker in effigy. You know, the irony is that doing crap like that just convinces people that your dislike is so irrational and personal that it doesn't have anything to do with policy disagreements.

How many times is pot/kettle used in describing lg?

I wouldn't expect him to come out and say he's doing it because Obama's black. I infer it from the thing, itself. And as I say I think given history any reasonable person would make the inference.

a tautology

if you do something I could consider racially based I consider you a racist therefore your act is racially based.

neat little system you've concocted

My syllogism is thus:

Major Premise: Hanging a black person in effigy is a symbol that is racist because, historically, black persons in this country were actually hung and killed.

Minor Premise: Pastor Jones hung a black man in effigy.

Conclusion: Pastor Jones' act was racist.

Your argument, it seems to me, is with the major premise. And if you want to claim that there is some room there for someone to hang a black man in effigy and "not mean it like that," well, that's utter nonsense and you know it.

Prove your major premise.

Also, if you would, please provide your definition for racism/racist.

Only if you're an idiot looking for racism in everything.

the second is easy, in LG's mind, a racist is anybody who disagrees with Obama, just see his initial reaction to the early Tea Party protests

No. I would suggest that the act of hanging a political figure in effigy is a far more recognized act.

It's pretty simple - Jones would not have hung Obama in effigy if he were not the president. Jones would have hung any president that came out in support of gay marriage and other policies he disagreed with.

Therefore the most likely motivation is to protest a politician not a race.

Your theory is exactly like the Southwest - eenie meenie miney moe case.

Major premise: using the song eenie meenie miney moe is racist because there was a history of using a racially charged version of the song.

Minor premise: a Southwest attendent used the phrase.

Conclusion: Southwest employee was racist.

Problem? Virtually every rational person agreed that the Southwest person was not acting in a racist manner or with any racial intent.

Only the people who were looking for it found racial intent in the action.
