Mayo has been coaching in the NFL for awhile. His last gig was HC. That's as big as it gets. He's well qualified for a DC position in the NFL. Hate to break it to you, but a NFL DC job is in another league of "big boy" football than DC at Tennessee. That's not an opiniondumbest is yours thinking a person with no experience is qualified. Junior, this is big boy football not Madden.
He was a placeholder, although he didn’t help himself with a lot of the comments he made to the media, almost on a weekly basis. This was just as much to do with off the field issues as it was on field results.I don't understand firing after 1 seasons. 2 seasons if there's no improvement, ok....but 1?
Maybe, but think it's odd Mayo got shown the exit this quick. Any decent coach with a QB and draft picks has a chance. Kraft probably already has someone lined up. But, on other hand if he doesn't, and is basically saying, "whoever the coach is, you can't win 3-4 games and stay as my coach", then some other teams like Giants will get more heat on them if they don't make changes too.Patriots are idiots. They'll hire Vrabel and still stink.
A year is not nearly enough time for change.
They drafted Maye. They aren’t taking Sanderson any other QB. They really missed on the value of the first pick more than any player. That roster is awful and could have swapped the first pick down to a fourth or fifth and gotten another first or second for the movrThey’re picking 4th now. Will Shedeur be available?
