The NFl is a purely money driven operation. If the fans aren't happy, the owner won't be happy. There are no big wig boosters to save incompetent coaches in the NFL.

Belichek no argument. He's to the NFL as Phil Jackson and Red Aurebach are to the NBA as far as titles when it's all said and done. Even as competitive as the NFL and AFC it wouldn't surprise me to see him more than double his current championship total if he coaches long enough. I know this looks very stupid, but it's possible, more possible than a lot of things are

If Mangini was truly intellectually inferior, the fact that Hoody had to video tape his signals in order to decifer them for an advantage over him totally dispells the notion that Hoody was intellectually superior. If you have to cheat to win you begin the day inferior, and must play outside the sandbox in order to compete or become superior, in which case you are still inferior.

In the case of Martin or anyone else, be it baseball or whatever. If you detect/decipher signs in a conventional manner during the normal course of a game within ethical rulings, more power to you. My ability to detect what other pitchers were going to throw by their pre-pitch habits and relaying that to my batters as the pitch is delivering is acceptable. Scouting the abilties of opposing players by observing games live or on tape is acceptable. Isolating signalers on tape live as signals are relayed and assignments carried out in order to decipher the code is a bit much.

It's amazing how many wins you can get breaking the rules. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I doubt we've even scratched the surface but since no one else will come forth and incriminate themselves, we'll never know how many times it took cheating and rule breaking to get the advantage.

Well I guess if Barry Bonds winds up with an asterisk by his name, the Patriots should probably have one or ever how many super bowls they have won since he's been there, and go ahead throw Pete Rose onto the mix as well if he ever makes it to the HOF.The Patriots remind me of a few guys we caught cheating in cards once and we never played cards with them again.I do wonder how that one guy is doing though after he was choked by someone that got ticked at him when he was caught cheating.:)

I think all its going to do is just really give their opponents the rest of this year fuel for the game, and their fans something to rag the Pats over. I did not like them to begin with, so this is all in humor to me.

I caught a little bit of footage a bit ago and it was obvious that whenever Brady went back into the pocket, he didn't check off prior nor did he even move his head left to right, he just kept it focused to the left the entire time he was dropping back, pretty obvious to me he knew exacty where the ball was going.:no:

I've grown to like Deford. He's an old curmudgeon, but I think he speaks the truth. I like his voice too - there's experience behind it.
