Pats vs Jets

All of these comments about the inexperience and youth of at NE are odd given back in the glory days of the Patriots the secret of their success was the genius of Bellicheat and his "system".

You really don't think he'll win more rings?

He won 14 freaking games.

You would act like he's George Seifert.

If Manning had done what Brady has in his last 3 playoff games everyone would be talking about how he can't win a big game. Brady has a special set of rules.
Manning's interception in the SuperBowl last year certainly didn't help his cause with the critics.

He should definitely have to answer for the fact they haven't won the big one since then.

Tom Brady is still a great QB.

What do the critics say about going 18-0 and losing in the super bowl or going 14-2 and beating a team 45-3 then losing to them in your first playoff game and it's at home?

Right now they are saying the Rex outcoached Belichick and that Sanchez played better than Brady. All of which is accurate, but none of which changes the fact that Tom Brady is great.

Irrelevant. I've seen him throw a fourth quarter INT. He can't handle pressure.
I may have to retract. Is it possible to judge greatness if the subject of said review never has to play the Florida Gators?

Going to be tough without the defense to back him up. No matter how good your offense is, it's tough to keep that kind of production rolling all through the playoffs. The edition a few years back with Randy Moss was as offensively potent as you'd ever want, and still couldn't get it done. He's now getting plagued with the same problem Manning has had. Teams that get up early can rush the hell out of him and there's nothing he can really do to counter it. His OL is badass enough to where he'll still be OK, but not unbeatable.

What makes him great? Just because he has 3 rings?

Good God let it go. There is no one on earth that despises Brady as much as I do. But dude is a great QB. Not that difficult to see.

I'm in the same boat. Never have cared for him personally. I'd love to trade places with him for a night or two though.

I'd settle for pictures. I've got a helluva imagination but that only goes so far.

For the record Dan Marino and Jim Kelly were both great without SB rings.

Brady is also a HoF lock which dismisses the argument entirely anyway.

And to be honest, if you put Brady in a different system away from Belichick he might not be as hated. The whole arrogance of Belichick and his media rules really make the situation worse. Brady still would be a douche, just probably not as bad.

And would likely have as many rings as I do.

Of course not, Brady gets a full pass.
SB rings may not be all that earns you a spot in the Hof, but they certainly help earn some leeway with the press. What are they going to say....Brady can't win the big one...anymore? It may be trending in that direction, but he has already won the big one three times.

If Manning had three he wouldn't be nearly as criticized. Heck, if he had beaten NO last year instead of throwing a terrible....terrible pick, you may not be dealing with this inferiority complex.

it's one think though to lose a game by being pressured and getting no time all day, but it's completely another to lose it by throwing an interception at the wrong time (or several) (or fumbling) and having it cost you the game

it's two completely different sets of things (especially, if the latter is established by a history of such games)

It can't really be deemed a "choke" just because it's a loss - even if it's a big game. The term comes from making the wrong (or worst) plays at the worst times, and often includes a history of such repeated incidents occurring

They say Tuck, Strahan and Umenyiora ate the Pats' lunch.

Rex outcoached Belicheck.

it's their histories; your past actions earn your reputations in life....one's currently higher up and better off, the other (whether intentional or not) is currently starting lower and has to work back up.....kind of like averages on exams in a class

That said, no i don't think Manning would be called "choking" in this game if he put up the same stats Brady did, and no he shouldn't be deemed that for his playoff game either

(now if you're upset because you've been having to hear from trolls on the internet...you're going to have to learn that there's no logic (or sometimes intelligence) between them there, and you're essentially always talking to someone repeating something hateful they heard from someone or somewhere else....in about the same way those sea gulls in Finding Nemo incessantly kept just saying "Mine! Mine! Mine!")
