Pats vs Jets

it's their histories; your past actions earn your reputations in life....one's currently higher up and better off, the other (whether intentional or not) is currently starting lower and has to work back up.....kind of like averages on exams in a class

That said, no i don't think Manning would be called "choking" in this game if he put up the same stats Brady did, and no he shouldn't be deemed that for his playoff game either

(now if you're upset because you've been having to hear from trolls on the internet...you're going to have to learn that there's no logic (or sometimes intelligence) between them there, and you're essentially always talking to someone repeating something hateful they heard from someone or somewhere else....in about the same way those sea gulls in Finding Nemo incessantly kept just saying "Mine! Mine! Mine!")
I don't think he has been trolled. He said Brady's greatness was opinion while it is clearly a fact that Brady is great.

well i meant like elsewhere on the internet or by the real life equivalents.

it sounds to me honestly like the "Manning chokes" idea/sentiment is what's bothering him more

Not at all, I couldn't careless what people say about my team's QB what I am saying is Brady's last few playoff games have been loses, and he has made some bad plays. He basically gets a pass when they lose and it's the defenses fault or Bellicheat got out coached it's never his fault. Now Peyton gets pretty much all of the blame when the Colts lose.

it's one think though to lose a game by being pressured and getting no time all day, but it's completely another to lose it by throwing an interception at the wrong time (or several) (or fumbling) and having it cost you the game

it's two completely different sets of things (especially, if the latter is established by a history of such games)

It can't really be deemed a "choke" just because it's a loss - even if it's a big game. The term comes from making the wrong (or worst) plays at the worst times, and often includes a history of such repeated incidents occurring

You mean like this one?

YouTube - Colts beat the Patriots

Caldwell took a lot of heat on IMBs for this year and last year, IMO.

Brady is great, one of the best. I think he gets to much credit for his Super Bowl wins in the Brady v Manning debates, but that's JMO IMO.

Potentially Manning, Brees, and maybe Rodgers if he can keep it up. Maybe Rivers. Not really sure who else would be worthy to even be considered..
Even with that list the choice is not nearly as "obvious" as VFJ is making it appear.

I think Manning and Brady were in the same boat this year. I wonder if either one of those teams makes the playoffs without their respective QBs. I don't think it is likely to be honest.

Pats, not likely. Colts, no way in hell.

I hate Brady as much as the next guy, but you can't deny he's a great QB. Dude has WON 3 Super Bowls.

Notable QB's with 0 or 1 Superbowl win:
Dan Marino: 0
Warren Moon: 0
Dan Fouts: 0
Jim Kelly: 0
Fran Tarkenton: 0
Steve Young: 1
Brett Favre: 1
Peyton Manning: 1

Quarterbacks with multiple Superbowl wins:
Terry Bradshaw: 4
Joe Montana: 4
Troy Aikman: 3
Tom Brady: 3
John Elway: 2
Ben Roethlisberger: 2
Bob Griese: 2
Jim Plunkett: 2
Roger Staubach: 2
Bart Starr: 2

I think this speaks for itself, no?

Not a very good argument. Would you take Trent Dilfer over Dan Marino?

I'm saying Brady's name has to be in the same conversation as those guys on the list as "Great QB's."

yes he's on the list of QB's who won the SB multiple times. However if we're picking there are some on the first list I take over the second

My intention was not to say that Brady is the greatest of all-time, just that he will be considered great by his Super Bowl victories, if nothing else. He should go down with his name in the same conversation with the likes of Aikman and Bradshaw. Are there other guys on either list that I would take over Brady, sure, but that wasn't my argument.

I think he is. However, Big Ben has a legit shot at ring 3 already. Would that put him on Brady's level or make him that much better than Manning?
It would rightfully earn him the rep of being good in the clutch. Hard to argue with it.
