Gonzalez wrote in the post, which has since been taken down, that her mother met DePape - whom she describes as her father - in Maui when she was pregnant with her. The couple moved to the Bay Area soon after Gonzalez was born.

It amazed me that the 911 operator had a distinct sense that something was seriously wrong and rushed the police to the house "just in the nick of time". I'm sure if the call came for another neighborhood and the last name was Johnson, they'd still be waiting on the police.
