And they typically choose to go after lying every time they have a case.

If you agree with Bilas, the program is going down with Pearl. Not sure money will overcome that....it's not like Indiana has figured it out yet.

I was watching the IU game with my father-in-law last night and watching them get smoked by Northwestern made me think about how easily this could be our program next year and for the next 5 years. IU is 3 years in to the post-Sampson era and not even close to being back to a respectable level. I think the NCAA suspends Pearl for a year, we fire him, the NCAA sanctions the program, and the program struggles for 5-7 years. Hope not, but bad feeling it will happen.

I certainly would not be shocked if you were to be correct. If the right coach was hired to replace Pearl, it would not take 5-7 years to overcome. In basketball 1 or 2 great recruits can quickly turn a program around.

Besides, a coach at a BCS school isn't going to be given 5-7 years.
