Pearl urges Vols Fans to Back Martin

I know, so lets say better than a 30th ranked class.

I do know what you mean. I feel if you want to replace the coach, do it without regards to who he has committed. If he needs to go needs to go. But I don't think this class is that great either.

Clay jumping back on the UT bandwagon on our way back up. He jumped ship as soon as things went south

He's just pissed he got left behind by his lover so switching teams.

The current recruiting class is ranked 30th is what I was getting at.

From the time that Bruce Pearl arrived in Knoxville, not only did his players put on a show, but Bruce Pearl put on a show on his own......and then some. TBA was filled and the fans went nuts and the players gave their all from buzzer to buzzer. The place flat out rocked! Tennessee basketball was a mardi gras parade and Bruce was that big orange float rolling up front. Why do some of you anal whackers expect this fella' to act like quiet grandma when this job he so loved is being waved in front of him? I was a still in undergrad school at UT when Mears was HC and, even though they won a whole lot of games.........these guys were BORING......generally the lowest scoring average nationwide except for a couple of great years with Ernie and Bernie. Bruce is a show all on his own, so quit expecting him to slow dance with this tornado.......grandmas.

I wonder how ESPN would report CCM being shown the door? My guess is that the ESPN college basketball thinking heads would say something stupid like UT hasn't given him enough of a chance.

No doubt. UT's got more than its share of haters and I've never quite figured out who started the trend.....or why. This seems to have begun in the early 90's, but later on the Peyton haters pretty much took the cake, and ESPN seems to be a major cheerleader in rah rahing against anything to do with UT sports. Despite his admitted petty malfeasance, Bruce was fundamentally railroaded out of his job. Does anybody (trolls excluded) think otherwise? Any geniuses among us who can add some insight to this?

Quite a few coaches kept their jobs doing worse stuff than what CBP was forced out for.

We need an 'event' or a 'happening' to get the attention of the media....the sports world is at a lull right now and things are ripe for a big story and that includes something that can be make into one...

Something that comes to mind is students going to Bruce house to ask him, talk to him, show support, etc.....this sort of thing would be tailor made for Bruce who wouldn't be able to resist an audience like this....hey....camp out...make it a party....you know local and most importantly national (ESPN) would be all over it....an opportunity for Bruce to show his love for the university as well as compassion for the players and martin himself...again stuff Bruce excels at....

On a somewhat related and admittedly 'catty' remark can you imagine Martin having to make an impromptu talk or speech...I mean one that requires verbiage other than 'score the basketball' and the like...

Fate. Football is finally gathering momentum, same would be said if CBP was once again named the HBBC at UT. Fate with a reason.

Railroaded? He lied when asked about the recruits at his barbecue and asked the parents of said recruits to lie and say they weren't there. Lying to an NCAA investigator is a cardinal sin. Don't have to be a genius to figure that out.
