Pearl's Already Gone: The Exit Strategy Hypothesis

Given that three coaches have already had their intermediaries contacted by people on UT's behalf, I think it's pretty safe to assume Pearl and Co. can clean out their offices before they leave for Charlotte.
Is this Yellawood guy contacting Houston Nutt type stuff or actual representatives of the school?

Why in the hell did Mike Slive suspend him for 8 games if he knew the NCAA would give a harsher penalty? If this is true then I'm going to be highly upset that the SEC runied this season for us knowing that Bruce would be gone at the end of the season anyway.

Mike Slive is campaigning for bigger and better things (NCAA presidency, perhaps)...

Jay Wright, Mike Anderson, and Danny Manning, imo, imho.

Not sure if you're serious but a little birdy told me he gets the first shot at turning this mother down.

If he were to accept I would literally pass out. He's my favorite coach... but he does have deep ties to 'Nova

I'd be good with any of the three. It does get murky if none of them are interested. Not sure what UT does then.

Well I will work for free. I'm short on experience but have already learned to tell the truth in all situations.

I'd love Jay Wright.

Knoxville would forget Bruce Pearl in a hurry. No way in hell we're that lucky though.

To explain why....

Wright wife was a Nova cheerleader
He already makes 2 mil per year
Best conference in college basketball

Oh i just saw you saying you'd be good with any of the 3.....

Well who has been contacted then?

During the Fulmer/Kiff/DD saga hambone mentioned more than once that he kept a list of perspective coaches in his desk. I would assume he does the same with basketball or does he?
