The NBA is knocking the door down to get Pearl and all other coaches in the NCAA are scared to death that Pearl will dominate the tournament and win a national championship every year. Find any misspelled words? That's about the only accurate response you've ever made.

Pearl is a great coach, best in program history. He is nothing like Spurrier at this point. He is more like Spurrier with Duke football. And yes, that would be a decent comparison. He took them to a bowl which was new heights for them and that is it.

Of course, there are always the self righteous among us who have been perfect their entire life and would never do anything wrong.

Stand by Bruce!!! Don't let the media brain wash you!! He's put alot into our program and the first sign of trouble and people turn their back on him. He made a mistake. If anyone can get us out of this it's him. Let the man work!! Screw ESPN!

If the NCAA hasn't banned Calipari from coaching they certainly won't do it to Pearl. CBP isn't going anywhere.

Yeah, since Cal has none of the issues facing Pearl, this is a great argument as to how nothing will happen to Pearl.

I do NOT understand why people keep bringing Cal into this... It just doesn't make sense. It is not relevant, has no bearing on anything related to our situation whatsoever

Seriously though I have read a number of times that the NCAA will not render a decision on the bball recruiting violations until April. If this is the case, then an interesting situation may arise!

Let's assume that the AA decision is not released until after the AA tourney and assume that the Vols make it to the Elite 8.
Now lets say that Tennessee gets more than a slap on the wrist.

Pearl would still be a valuable commodity in the AA. Another "suitor" may come calling for Pearl's services. I hope there is a sizable buy-out in the new contract.

Even if he does get suspended for a year, I hope we get intrem HC and bring CBP after that year. I WANT PEARL HERE NOMATTER WHAT!!!!!!

UT fans know a little bit about the difficulties in finding the right coach. I dont even want to begin to imagine who we'll hire if Pearl is canned.

Calm down guys... lol! It doesn't look like he is going anywhere anytime soon. Where did you hear April btw? Everything I have heard says that the AA will send out their Letter of Allegations in December outlining all sanctions(if any outside of the self-imposed are brought forth). The only way I can see this stretching to April is via the appeals process should things go that route. We should pretty much know the deal by this years end.
