Pelini fired

I don't think Miami will be looking for a new head coach,at least not this offseason. Miami loses a lot after 2014 and a change will probably be made when Miami screws around and goes 4-8 in 2015.

You may be right. I have no clue what Miami will do with Golden. The idea of Kiffin in Miami would be very intriguing though.

I know we all go Sec homer at times but Neb is better than Mizzou and would have gone in dry on the East this season. Jmo

I agree Missouri's schedule wasn't much better either but it would be a lot closer than you are giving them credit for. I'm not saying Nebraska would not have won the east but it by no means would have been automatic as you believe.

So is Pelini a big enough name as a splash hire for Florida?

ETA: Not hoping that happens, just wondering where your bar is for "big names."

I bet Florida hires an NFL assistant. I'm never sold on NFL assistants you can never be sure if they can recruit.

Louisville put a huge buyout clause in his contract to make him stay at least 3 seasons.

Paul Petrino makes Will Muschamp look like Bear Bryant

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

He'd be PERFECT for the Gators!

In seriousness and back on topic, I'd be surprised if Florida or another Power 5 team didn't give Pelini more than a passing glance. His name isn't tarnished enough to prohibit getting serious consideration as a HC.

Although he might sit a season out and wait to see what comes up. Doubt it though.

8-17 vs. AP-ranked teams (3-9 on road)

No BCS Bowl appearances (3-3 overall in bowls)

No conference titles (lost in 2012 Big Ten title game, 70-31)

I see you completely failed to read my post.

Yeah I read your post.

You evidentially have a problem with numbers
Let new help you

The last 4 years the two men coached.

Pelini won 71 % of his games

Fulmer won 58% of his games

Pelini IMO would be a solid coach but without glamour sort of like Charlie Pell.

I would hire either Pelini or Muschamp for defensive coordinators, too me they are not HC material.

Except the last 4 years of Fulmer's tenure has NOTHING to do with what I posted.
