Did I miss something?
Did I miss something?
Is this not the exact same job title that CPF has at ETSU? Could we possibly see Phil come back to work in the AD?
First part of question, I don't know. Second part of question--NO! Much love for Phil but no one in their right mind wants him back. He's a college politician and will only polarize the athletic department. Making it a hostile environment for Butch to work without constant interference. I've no doubt this rankles some of you, maybe many, but it's the truth. Just ask Johnny Majors. Or open-mindedingly recall what his desk looked like and how it was positioned. If not for this tendency, I'd say yes, because imagine him back as AD or heading the recruiting. Unfortunately, Phil has a god complex, so again--NO!
Then why does Butch have him at practice and in the complex so often? He's spoken to the team on multiple occasions, attends practice at least once a week when in session, even did all of his rehab from knee replacement surgery with UT trainers in the training room.
Fulmer has no desire to take any type of full-time job at UT or anywhere else, but to paint him as some sort of villan stalking our program is downright false.

Wright said she also received a call from Brad Pendergrass, former director of football operations, with whom shed had a brief relationship. Pendergrass told her, in effect, you think you can hide from us. He also told her that if she was going to sleep with football players she needed to be careful about that.
Lots more than that... Dave Hart doesn't come out well according to her limited statement. A lot of he said, she said, but if even half is true, it's nauseating. It's amazing how easy it is nowadays to take someone down by spreading rumors about sexual activities.
Per the interview linked above, there wasn't an iota of evidence that she ever had "relationships" with any athletes. They interviewed team members and coaches.
But two of the athletes she was linked to, including one that had admitted a relationship, declined to be interviewed as part of the investigation. Same goes for the coach.
