That line of thinking is really useless, it does not work that way. How many did they have on Vanderbilt at halftime?

In fact, how many teams did UM have 30 on at halftime this whole season?

dunno about how useless it is, but either way, Michigan would light up Florida and as you even agree, Florida wouldn't be able to continue to answer

For a simple reason. Michigan is really, really good. Florida isn't. The Gators haven't beaten a single sound football team. Their most impressive victory is over the most self destructive team in the country. Nothing on the UF resume indicates to me they can play with the Wolverines.

If you are right, and they have not beaten a single good football team, that does not disqualify a team from being good. That just means there were no good football teams on their schedule. I doubt there are no good football teams in the SEC.

I am not saying UF would win, I am just saying UM would not be a guaranteed winner either. Florida would not have to continue to answer if it was a low scoring game. Henne proved to me the other night that he is very adept at missing wide open recievers.

Scoring on UM did not seem to be an issue the other night.
Ohio State has one of the best offenses in the country. There's not much they can't do.

Florida's most effective offensive play is the Tebow sneak on 3rd or 4th and short.

Illinois seemed to be able to keep it under half a hundred rather easily.

That is one game that Ohio State has struggled offensively, compared to every one of Florida's SEC games.

Why do you have to be offense heavy to be considered worthy. UF is definitely defense heavy. I believe there have been plenty of teams that have won championships with great defense and very average offense.

that's not the point. the point is Mich would still get many many points on UF's D... Florida meanwhile would not get many points

I didnt' say Florida wasn't worthy, I just don't think they're as good as Ohio State or Michigan. Their defense is arguably better, equal worst case. I just don't think their offense is good enough to beat one of those teams.

man i wish we could let Mich and Florida play..... i would laugh for a month
The only thing funnier than that is going to be the beatdown of epic proportions Texas is going to put on Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl, provided the Broncos can beat Nevada Saturday.

I am not saying that UF is better than Michigan either. I just disagree with all the chatter that UM is definitely the number 2 team. That they are hands down, the second best team, no argument. I find that a little absurd.

I agree, I'm not convinced Michigan is the second best team either at this point, and they shouldn't be ranked second, in my opinion.

well i was just comparing his last post to that one. he's not certain UF is better, yet earlier he made that claim... something about running in circles

however, I am shocked to learn Big Ten Football doesn't know anything about speed... never too old to learn hat

What is the point of comparing something I said to a post made by someone else?

All those D Backs and receivers from the Big 10 in the NFL aren't really fast. It's all trick photography.
