so Mich loses their shot at a national title because they barely lost to a great team on the road? USC lost their game to a crappy team on the road. Arkansas lost their game to a really good team at home in A BLOWOUT. florida hasn't played consistently enough to earn a shot over Michigan. Michigan blew out ND at ND so throw out ND. who's left? WVU? please. Louisville? pretty please. I hate Michigan. But i can't deny they are the number two team in the country
Michigan had their shot and are now tied for 2nd place in thier own conf. If another big 10 school is going to the BCS for a NT...i'd take a look at Wisconsin...they haven't played OSU and they also have 1 loss in conf....to Michigan.
at least USC has a shot to be a 1 loss conf. champion playing another conf. champion for the NT. and usc's schedule this year is nothing to sneeze at. they did beat ark at ark, they beat neb and will have probably beaten ND....so, that's 2 division winners in the SEC and Big 12 (both of whom still have chances to win their respective conferences and finish the season in the top 5 (ark) or 10 (neb). ND is ranked in the top 10 right now, and probalby will finish that way and will also go to a BCS bowl. 1 loss in conf. or not...their ooc schedule this year is more than respectable and is more deserving than Mich. So if USC wins out..they're in more than likely.
should USC lose one of the last two, then imo, that opens the door for a 1 loss SEC champ, be it ARk or FL, with ARK having the most work to do with LSU coming up this weekend.
the scenario that locks up Michigan in a rematch in my opinion is USC has to lose one of the remaining two, ARK loses to LSU and ARK beats UF in the SEC CG. then you're down to a choice between a 1 loss Michigan team and a 1 loss Big East champ, probably WVU.
I think ND is out regardless...they won't jump Michigan in any poll. Actually i should say, ND SHOULD be out regardless...because of how they got throttled by Michigan, so ND shouldn't jump Mich in any scenario. but stranger things have happened.
