Penn St news only!

No program OR Academic Institution is too big or "untouchable". Did anyone see the interview with ESPN contributor Steven A. Smith? He believes that there should be a thorough "housecleaning" of both coaching and administrative staff---essentially the program should be shut down, which in essence would be similar to "Death Penalty". However, (he continued) the players should be allowed to transfer to a program of their choice without interference or limitation from the NCAA. Will proceedings go that far?? Too early to tell as each day it seems new info is discovered. One thing is certain (IMO), this is far from over...

It absolutely should be shut down. I agree with letting the players transfer elsewhere. Penn State should never again allowed to compete in anything athletically.

care to summarize?

Similar to the other victims, sleep overs in the basement, trips to games and hotel stays with gradual increase from affectionate touching to outright molestation. Last victim ended the relationship when Sandusky asked him to perform oral sex while Sandusky was driving. Sick.

Tonight a Penn State athletic department official told SbB that Joe Paterno’s health is in rapid decine.
The Penn State source, who asked to remain anonymous because they were not authorized to speak for the Paterno family, was blunt in their assessment of the former Penn State football coach’s physical condition, telling SbB, “Joe is a lot closer to dying soon than the public is aware. It is very bad.”
Paterno’s family revealed the ex-Penn State coach had a treatable form of lung cancer on November 18.
On Nov. 27, Paterno’s son Jay said of the cancer treatments his father was undergoing: “He’s going through treatments and stuff like that and he’s been handling it very well.”
Today the Penn State Athletic Department source told SbB that Paterno is continuing to get daily cancer treatments but that, “it (cancer) is much worse than the family has let on.”
The source added that those close to Paterno fear, “this may be his last Christmas.”

Don't know if I buy it, but wouldn't surprise me.

The word horseplay reminds me of Catherine the Great.

This was absolutely hilarious to anyone who knows history.

Also, Sandusky made bail. confined to his house though.

How long till we get some Syracuse inclusion though?

That is when McQueary told Dr. Jonathan Dranov, a family friend and colleague of McQueary's father, that he had heard "sex sounds" and a running shower before a young boy peered around the corner of the shower's stall, the Harrisburg, Pa., newspaper reported Sunday morning, citing a source with knowledge of Dranov's testimony before the grand jury that brought the charges.

McQueary, a receivers coach who remains on administrative leave, said he then saw an adult arm reach around the boy's waist and pull him out of view, Dranov told the grand jury, according to the newspaper's source.

Sandusky left the shower in a towel seconds later, the report said.

Because McQueary said he hadn't personally witnessed an assault, Dranov said he advised McQueary to report the incident to his superiors at Penn State, but that he shouldn't worry about informing the police, the report said.

Ousted coach Joe Paterno has said he was never told of anything such as rape or molestation about what happened in the shower stall. Paterno and McQueary discussed the matter the next day.

McQueary's story is also a key aspect of the perjury and other charges brought against former Penn State athletic director Tim Curley and ex-vice president Gary Schultz, whose stories also contradict McQueary's.

It's still funny, but it isn't historically accurate.
