I get the 2 loss deal. But come on, beat Ohio St. and win your conference championship. Smells like a Buckeye payoff. Bama's gonna roll over everyone anyhow.

No, they didn't. They lost twice. Michigan smashed them. One loss and left out? I get it. 2 losses, nope. Should have beat Pitt.

I'm sure if you replaced OSU with Florida and PSU with Tennessee in the scenario, you'd agree, right?

I think we have our proof now of a question that was debated earlier in the year.

I don't think a 2 loss Tennessee having beaten Alabama in Atlanta would have necessarily put Tennessee in the playoff or knocked Alabama out of it

Puts the lie to the committee's claim that they value conference championships above all else.
Besides that, I hate Franklin a lot less than I hate Urban (Oscar) Meyer.

Yep. And I'm sure if Florida had beat Bama by a field goal yesterday, you'd have them in the playoff and Bama left out, right?

Not even close to the OSU/PSU situation and you know it.

I'm calling bullsh## that if UT were in PSU's situation, you wouldn't be crying bloody murder.

Yep, and you know this place would be going ape sh## if that happened, and not saying "Meh, shouldn't have lost to Texas A&M".

It's the exact same scenario. Florida would just have one more loss than PSU. But one more loss doesn't matter though, right?

How ironic. A few years ago Jim Delany, the Little 10 Commish, was arguing that only conference champions should be in the playoff series. Of course, this was his argument when two SEC teams were in top 4 and were favored to make the playoff series.

Funny how a hypocrite's perspective changes when it's their teams involved ... LMAO !!!

Then you don't really get the two loss deal. Penn State lost twice, so they are out of it. And nothing about the Sandusky situation influences my opinion.Sound as idiotic as the SJWs.

Everyone keeps saying they have one more loss. I think this is a simple lazy way to look at it. If you want to throw that at them, Penn state also has played one more game...

Not even watching but I hope bama and Ohio St get humiliated. Anyone winning but Saban or Urban. This needs to be more than 4 teams picked by arbitrary means.

No, it's freaking not.

Yes it is. Just one more loss on Florida's part. What makes that so much different?

Would you put Ohio State and Penn state in (leaving SEC out) proving that conference championships don't matter? Would you put Bama and Penn State in which shows that head to head doesn't matter?

Penn State is up there with Washington and Colorodo as the most overrated team. They got lucky against Ohio St and then played NO ONE the rest of the year. I would have been furious if they would have made the playoff.
