I don't think it's lazy to look at the entire schedule and how they played throughout the season to make this decision.

Not really. Got destroyed by Michigan and lost to Pitt.. They got hot down the stretch and strengthens the argument that the playoff should involve more than just 4 teams. All this is is a glorified +1. It's not a true playoff. You want a true playoff, include all the power 5 conference champs then let them beetch about who deserves the 6th, 7th and 8th spot. It will never be a perfect system.

But if you take out Bama, and replace it with Florida? There really needs to be a different standard in that case decided by those who got urine poured on them at the swamp.

IMO conference champ and head to head over Ohio St. should qualify them, but the system sucks

Don't kid yourself, Urban Meyer would make his wife sleep with a committee member if it meant he had a chance to get into the playoff. That piece of crap sneaks and snakes his way into everything. Absolute garbage they are in this playoff again.

They are the second best team in the country. Albeit a distant second.
