Sandusky was forced to retire, to my knowledge Paterno has never spoken to him again after his retirement dinner, the university administrators negotiated his walkaway, and coverup amidst the conspiracy that shut down the police investigation AND the case by the DA who is now DEAD, but NO, you think Joe Paterno is the wheelman behind the whole operation. Have you had a CAT Scan lately? I think one is indicated here.

Can you point to anything, other than the retirement dinner you seem to be clinging to, that Paterno had nothing to do with a coverup? And to answer your question as to what Paterno should've done in '99, he should've notified law enforcement agencies of the criminal acts that he had been told of. That has been discussed ad naseum in here. I can't believe you've missed that after all this time.

Curley and Schultz have been charged with perjury and failure to report the incident to authorities, as required by state law. Curley is on administrative leave from Penn State. Spanier was fired with Paterno on Wednesday.

This package was part of a bigger deal that includes a police coverup, a coverup by the DA, squashing of evidence, and eventually the murder of the DA. Yeah right, Paterno was running the whole operation.
