PSU will not be relevant for 10 years and they shouldn't be. Sandusky is a sick bastard but he is what he is. Pedophiles can't change what they are. Everyone with knowledge of the criminal activity in some ways are worse because they allowed it to happen and turned a blind eye. Joe Paterno is dead but the rest of the accomplices have some serious atoning to do.

Excuse me? you got some explaining to do moron!
Not to get too off topic here, but I hear a ton of people say that PSU was penalized too hard. They will go on about how penalizing the current players and administration isn't fair. The only question I ask in return is this: let's say that there were no penalties in 2012 and PSU won a national championship, how would you feel about that?
That is always answered with silence.
More and more evidence is pointing towards pedophiles, endophiles, etc being biologically born more attracted to their type of "thing."
It's already all but a biological fact that people who are gay have genetic differences in their brains and hormone imbalances that thar straight people don't have, as in we have noticed it in several other animals as well. It's not a popular opinion in the south (bible belt or really America yet), but truth is biology and science are slowly explaining that these are genetic mutations and defects no different than autism or being a different race.
Doesn't make them less monsters when they do things like Sandusky did, but in thirty or forty years we very well may be able to identify the genome that causes it even.
If they did win it wouldn't bother me. I think the people who were involved should be punished for their crime. The football program as a whole had nothing to do with sandusky's behavior.
It's the equivalent of if your VP molested a child and your President found out about it but didn't say anything about it. Should they punish all the workers or just the people responsible?
I agree with you. But you just got yourself in a battle with a lot of people who are going to play the "it's a choice" card.

I respect your opinion, I just totally disagree.
The whole reason for the cover up was to protect the football program. If the allegations had come out with Sandusky on staff, the football program would have suffered either through diminished recruiting, or other avenues. If this had gone unpunished, it tells programs that when major crimes are committed to hide them as long as possible and nothing will happen to the thing you were trying to protect (yes, there will be criminal penalties to a few individuals, but the program marches on).
Programs know you don't pay players, or your program will be shut down. Allow boys to be raped in your showers by a staff member, and you get to go on because it wasn't "football related" or it hurts people who weren't involved. Do you think the people who were hurt at USC or SMU or OSU were actually involved in any of those comparatively minor infractions? nope.
To put it in simpler terms, if your boss (assuming you work in corporate America) criminally embezzles funds and the corporation goes bankrupt, you are out of a job by no fault of your own. There is no parachute or special protection for you, you are done (ask employees of ENRON). It is death by association. It happens in the real world, in academia and in sports.
