Mizzou and Georgia aren’t really running teams so hopefully that means we’ll be more aggressive and not play as far back as much.
Mizzou has the leading rusher in the conference & cook hurts you with his runs. I fully expect Banks to force Cook to make plays passing all day. They are a very balanced offense but if you try to stop everything, you end up stopping nothing.

Last year they were 128th in passing yards allowed. This year 53rd. The only stats that matter to me are scoring offense and defense where UT is top 25 in both.

Wow i was way off in passing defense? Sorry man. We are certainly miles better in both though. I am apparently struggling atm though. Time to chill, dont ever want to spread misinformation. GO VOLS

get ready to bitch about pass defense cause i suspect banks to try to control mizzou run game
I already know I'm going to be furious at all the back shoulder passes that Mizzou will complete. But that normally isn't a good way to get into the end zone.

I think it would be a mistake to try and “make Cook beat us” because he absolutely will. It will be frustrating if Banks does that given how much Mizzou passes per game. They average almost 300 yards passing per game. I get that they can run too (didn’t know their back leads the conference) but you pick your poison and their strength still seems to be the pass game.

I think part of trying to let Cook pass is our DLine is our best unit. We need to get to Cook a couple times and make it hard on him. Then we just to force field goals when the field shrinks.

My fear is it barely worked against Kentucky and Mizzou is much better than Kentucky. Leary torched us through the air and Cook is a far superior quarterback. But I guess if that’s the strategy then so be it.

So it’s “exhausting” to accept consistent persistent mediocrity in our pass D?

Ok 🤷🏻‍♂️
We are 7-2 and I do not care if we are last in every category as long as we are not struggling to get to 6 wins when we play Vandy. Build this team and you and everyone else would've been happy and called anyone a liar who told you we would go 7-5, 11-2, and 7-2 after 9 games of year 3. So posters like you are EXHAUSTING.

I think they are better than UK, but Im not sure they are much better. We will see. Hopefully we have a good gameplay because it's going to be a close game.

I think we all know that there are still issues this defense needs to fix if we want to win championships, but we should still celebrate the good things and not just dwell on the bad. Truth is we have come a long way from where we used to be on that side of the ball. We still need to close the talent gap.
I am admittedly drunk, but also in total agreement with your post. We had to work with what we had in the secondary, and while it could have been better, the wall has held for the most part. Cheers to hoping next year will be better. We are on the rise, though, I truly believe that. We are the next generation of what Alabama has been for the last generation.

Every coach goes in with the "we have to stop the run" plan. If you don't, everything else is open and you get bled to death all day. Who cares if they run play action when they can't run the ball, its not respected. This is a big day for our DE and LB. We need our seniors to take their will away

At what point can we just have a positive post and message without the negativity? That's such a miserable way to
That’s not going to happen with this guy, most negative person on here. But he is consistent.😂🤪😂🤪

I think we have to play far back due to injuries. We run a lot more zone since KH went down. You donwhat you can with the personnel you have.

Get Mason outta the announcers booth (he’s not the best, but not the worst) and hire him. We all know it’s Garner getting the most out of the DL anyway.

We’ll get eaten alive by Cook if Banks insists on that soft zone coverage. Gonna have to pressure Cook and take away his time to throw by covering those receivers. If we lay back with a vanilla four man rush, it’s going to be a long day.
