Anyone have any clue as to what TN offered Tee?? I'm thinking Tee is the highest paid pure recruiting coordinator in to country at around 500-600/yr.. I'm sur ethere are some that make more, but have dual responsibilities.

I don't blame Tee for not taking the job. I think there are some serious issues going on with this administration that we all don't know about. Issues that want to keep most coaches away!!!!! Remember how our best coach ever, Pat Summitt was given the boot!!!! Everyone is just scared to death of the university of Tennessee right now, it is just a high risk job!!!!!! The fans are really tuff & cut throat!!!!! Everyone hates Tee for not coming, but still worships Gruden for not coming!!!!!! You hate Kiffin for being a lying cheater(understandable) but you still love Bruce Pearl for lying & cheating(not understandable) I really think this administration is being ran like Jerry Jones runs the Dallas Cowboys!!!!!!!

Martin, the quarterback of Tennessee's 1998 national championship team, was offered a similar position with the Volunteers. But sources said Martin declined the offer because Tennessee could not match his USC salary or the high-profile nature of coaching marquee players like Marqise Lee and Robert Woods.


Hope the salary part is not true.

Well to be fair if the reports of us offering 350-400k are truth that would be competitive with our peers. It would be bad if we paid him that much higher than the other assistants wouldnt it?

Maybe he got here and decided that he didn't want to work for Jones or Hart when they don't even have the attention to detail to pick him up at the airport.
