Dude, thanks for the checklist! But, the bottom line is Tee Martin is recruiting the best players in the great state of TN to play at USC. Jalen Ramsey, 15th ranked player in the nation from Nashville is going to USC because of Tee. This is hurting UT. Pretty simple!

Also, do u think fans of other schools would be happy if this happened to them. Imagine this at Bama in 2006 after they had been down for so long. It would have been a much more severe reaction. I'm actually surprised that some fans are trying to defend him!

So if Ramsey's top two were Bama and USC???

Despite what the folks in knoxville think, the concensus elsewhere is they got a good coach for a good program, period , end of story . I am not sure if the point has been brought up, but I wonder how many of you knuckledraggers would be acting like this if it were Peyton Manning, a few years into a coaching career, who turned down a job at UT. Tee Martin doesn't owe this current athletic department a ****ing thing. The only reason he even listened to us was because this is his university. In the end, who the hell wants to work for Dave Hart?

Statement makes a lot of sense and no sense. That is exactly the reason that we care and your idle musings don't change that. I would rather he work for Saban. All he has ever done is out played us on the field and pulled recruits away from our state fair and square, he is a worthy opponent. However, we don't know the relationship he has with his kids. He has the money and downtime to see them often. A lot of fathers live in the same town or heck many in the same house as their children and never see them or spend time with them. The folks tearing into him regarding his kids here are doing so without knowing a thing about their actual relationship.

1) you don't have kids or if you do you are letting the "system" raise them for you.
2) there are enough fanatics here that every time Tee stepped off a plane at McGee Tyson, someone would report it.

I am thinking he worked the system like Charlie Strong did, to get a raise. If it's all about the money instead of loyalty that's pretty sad. USC is going to have a rough couple of years the next 2 years, playing with 65 scholarship players next year and 60 the following year. If that's what he wants to contend with, best of luck. UT will move on, if he decides to come back later maybe we'll offer him half just for pulling this stunt.

Would also be funny if the WR that Tee is being loyal too transfers after reading the writing on the wall.........

Dude, this thread is about the one that spurned us to stay with a guy that helped destroy the program while pulling TN kids to that program. Not the Coach that we got who is actually fairly well received by VN. I think you need to sober up and find the right thread.

I've avoided this thread for most of it because it is by far the most ridiculous thread I've ever read.

1.) It is not the end of the world. If you really think Tee is trying to destroy this program, you honest to god need to be put on medicine.
2.) Tennessee most likely will not play USC any time during these kids', that Tee is "stealing", career. I'd much rather them go to USC than Bama or Florida.
3.) You don't know a damn thing about what went on during that interview, so quit acting like he was trying to tear down Tennessee.
4.) Maybe he was trying to milk a raise. Who gives a flying ****? That happens all the time, in all sorts of situations.
5.) Just because some of you believe that women belong in the kitchen and need to only listen to what the man says (god help you if your wives find out. Hope you froze some sperm), doesn't mean that Tee believes that. Let him do what he feels is best for him and his family.
6.) Coming in to interview face to face shows so much more respect and maturity than hiding behind a phone.

Bringing your entire family across the country at your Alma Mater's expense when you KNEW you weren't going to take the job is a slap in the face. When he knew all he was doing was trying to get more $$ from USC is a slap in the face. I don't blame others for doing it because they didn't go to school here and don't have a street named after them. He does, he has a higher level of responsibility to this university than others. If he is too ignorant to realize that, then maybe it is good that he isn't here. I am not tic'd that he didn't take the job, that sh*t happens. Once again, it was how it was done......I bet Kiffin told him that he should do it that way. Smells like little lane had his hands all over it.

He would have known what the specifics of the job were before he boarded the plane. If he wasn't interested, he should have said no and then made a statement about being honored.....blah blah blah. But that's not how it worked is it......
