Call Marion Hobby or Dale Jones! They coach defense but would make more of an impact on our program than Martin. What other ex vols coach offense? Do we still have A. Davis as the VFL coordinator?

Well, there needs to be a better explanation. You don't come down here and bring your family for an interview at your alma mater to just turn it down. He could have said no thanks in a phone call instead of dragging this out and getting everyone excited. His reason for staying at USC was "I'm very proud of our recruiting class coming in this year". Ok, so why the hell do you even bother coming over if this is your answer?

Seriously? You tards would have gotten pissed if he didn't give the school the honor of taking a face to face meeting.

I'm sick of this. All this whole coaching search has done is shown me how worthless, pathetic, and unintelligent a load of Vol fans are. Sickening.

There probably is a better explanation. It may be one that neither party wants to go into in public. We have the right to ask, but not the right to know the reasons behind personal decisions. Sometimes we just have to accept the public explanation. Perhaps in person he thought he could talk up a better deal than he was offered....who knows. Perhaps after discussions either Tee, or CBJ, or both thought his skills weren't a good fit at this time. Maybe he came to get a raise at USCw. We will probably never know more than we know now. And he should be proud of the recruited class coming to USCw. It is a product of his work.

I don't care what anyone says.... This HURT our program. Tee Martin should NOT have boarded the plane if there was any chance he wasn't taken the job. I would have respected him much more if this was handled over the phone. I will always be thankful that we had Tee qb on the 98 team, but he obviously doesn't love Tn. In the end he is recruiting our state, and stealing players to play for the biggest villian in UT history. How anyone can pull for Tee is beyond me! I'm not going to even touch the children in Ktown issue! Thats between him and his family. But, I hope he is a complete failure at USC! HE IS TRYING TO HURT OUR PROGRAM!!!! IT'S THAT SIMPLE!!!

I've avoided this thread for most of it because it is by far the most ridiculous thread I've ever read.

1.) It is not the end of the world. If you really think Tee is trying to destroy this program, you honest to god need to be put on medicine.
2.) Tennessee most likely will not play USC any time during these kids', that Tee is "stealing", career. I'd much rather them go to USC than Bama or Florida.
3.) You don't know a damn thing about what went on during that interview, so quit acting like he was trying to tear down Tennessee.
4.) Maybe he was trying to milk a raise. Who gives a flying ****? That happens all the time, in all sorts of situations.
5.) Just because some of you believe that women belong in the kitchen and need to only listen to what the man says (god help you if your wives find out. Hope you froze some sperm), doesn't mean that Tee believes that. Let him do what he feels is best for him and his family.
6.) Coming in to interview face to face shows so much more respect and maturity than hiding behind a phone.

Dude, thanks for the checklist! But, the bottom line is Tee Martin is recruiting the best players in the great state of TN to play at USC. Jalen Ramsey, 15th ranked player in the nation from Nashville is going to USC because of Tee. This is hurting UT. Pretty simple!

Also, do u think fans of other schools would be happy if this happened to them. Imagine this at Bama in 2006 after they had been down for so long. It would have been a much more severe reaction. I'm actually surprised that some fans are trying to defend him!

I agree. I am hoping Jones actually looks around for someone who wants to be rather then going RIGHT after the Cincy coach. Not sure if that's what will happen though...
