While the man himself is exceedingly un-Christian or any other known religion, Trump's public political agenda is in line with some traditional religious values. His spitefulness and personal foibles are generally overlooked by those who agree with what they see as his agenda. Meanwhile the political opposition, and their spitefulness, can easily be seen as actively working against traditional religious values.I can't take anyone who views religion as an important part of their life and identity voting for Trump seriously.
And you guys are still whining about Hillary and Obama.
Politician Arrested For Supporting Right to Preach The Bible.
Anthony Stevens, a UK politician, was arrested in front of his wife and children and held in prison for nine hours after a local left-wing opponent reported him to the police… for criticizing the police.
Stevens had posted his critiques of the handling of another high-profile persecution of a Christian – King Lawal – before he himself was arrested on the spurious grounds of “stirring up racial hatred”.
The British police interrogated Stevens over his public support of Lawal, a former Conservative Party local politician until his own party suspended him for arguing, “Pride is not a virtue but a sin.” Stevens shared the story on X (formerly Twitter) with the comment, “If you value free speech please sign [a petition] and share.”
“The accusation of racial hatred is ridiculous and insulting. My only crime has been supporting the only black local councilor in Northamptonshire,” Stevens argued following his arrest.
“In a true democratic society, you cannot have people being arrested for a few tweets. We must have debate, we must have the freedom to criticise and offend each other, otherwise this country is going to swiftly go to pot,” he added.
Maine Church Vandalized With ‘Queer Love’ and ‘Abortion is a Human Right’
By Cassandra MacDonald Sep. 12, 2023 10:20 pm
A Maine church was vandalized over the weekend with LGBTQ and pro-abortion messages.
Members of the Second Baptist Church in Palermo are now asking for the vandalism to be investigated as an anti-Christian hate crime.
A pro-life sign that read “Every Life Matters,” and “Abortion is Still Murder,” was splattered with red paint, and a new sign was hung that said, “Abortion is our human right.”
The vandal, or vandals, also painted “Queer love 4 eva.”

In a statement posted to social media, the church said, “Our church once again was the recipient of vandalism and destruction. At least two vehicles occupied by more than one accomplice used the cover of darkness to destroy property at the church along with nailing up signs to the building and defacing the property with paint.”
State Representative Katrina Smith, a member of the church, told News Center Maine, “This is an escalation of violence against the church.”“While our hearts hold nothing but love and forgiveness for these cowardly vandals, we also recognize this for what it is, a hate crime against a religious group. It is a targeting of a congregation for their sincerely held religious beliefs.”
Rep. Smith is among those who believe that the incident should be investigated as a hate crime.
“Well to me, it’s a hate crime. This is a group of young children, families, just local people, and they have done nothing to speak out against any of the issues right now,” Rep. Smith continued.
The report explains, “This is not the first time the church—which has often publicly displayed its views on abortion and LGBTQ+ rights—has been the target of vandalism. In 2019, someone rearranged the letters in the sign reading ‘Jesus made Adam N Eve not Adam and Steve.’ And before this week’s vandalism, another bucket of paint spilled over the anti-abortion sign.”
By an astronomical amount, not the dumbest.I'm wondering how TF the dumbest thread on VN is still going, so I check...it turns out it's because people are mad that a private university hospital took 2 days for the same holiday and made it 1, and then used the other 1 for a holiday celebrating the end of slavery.
Think about what you're griping about for a second.

"Still going" is also pretty generous, it's mostly just Nick Fury posting victimhood articles from Christian websitesI'm wondering how TF the dumbest thread on VN is still going, so I check...it turns out it's because people are mad that a private university hospital took 2 days for the same holiday and made it 1, and then used the other 1 for a holiday celebrating the end of slavery.

I don't click on weird links links. I'm going by the posted tweet. I've never considered new years eve as a day I need to shut down and I've certainly never considered it to be a Christian holiday. From skimming the article, it looks like they removed Christmas Eve as the paid holiday.
I see your edit now. Must have been a typo or something.I don't click on weird links links. I'm going by the posted tweet. I've never considered new years eve as a day I need to shut down and I've certainly never considered it to be a Christian holiday.
Edit: this is the quote I'm referring to... "Christians Taking 12/31 Leave Must PAY for Time-Off"
Whoever wrote that either wrote it to incite sixth graders or he thinks like a sixth grader himself.CAIR tells schools how it is going to be. Nothing from the democrat davidian cult and their media disciples ... remember "don't say gay" and that outrage?

No. I consider Christmas to be a Christian holiday. When I was a kid both my parents worked Christmas Eve if it was a weekday. That seems to have changed over time. Christmas eve may still not be a bank holiday. However, if you couldnt figure it out, the point of my comment is that i don't know why new years eve is being referenced as a Christian holiday.Do you consider Christmas Eve to be a Christian holiday?
My guess is he was thinking Christmas Eve, but typed in NYE date by mistake.No. I consider Christmas to be a Christian holiday. Edit: I'm looking for examples of Christmas eve as a recognized holiday apart from Christmas day for fed govt/banks. I'll share if I find anything. Let me know if you find any information about NYE as a Christian holiday. From what I remember from history class, new years day was in April until the middle ages.
If Christmas falls on a weekend, banks close on either the Friday before or the Monday after. Can’t say I’ve really paid attention during the week, but I will this year. They might close early on Christmas Eve if it falls during the week. I know a lot of other businesses incorporate Christmas Eve into the Holiday and give employees the day off too. I’m in a 24/7 industry and have worked several Christmas Eves and Days through the years. That may or may not be the case. I'm now curious about the sanctity of Christmas Eve as a holiday though. I remember my parents working Christmas eve as a kid in the 80's and I think it's not a bank holiday now. Thoughts?
