Persecution of Christianity is becoming overt instead of covert.

God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it?

— Nietzsche, The Gay Science, Section 125, tr.

There is a LONG history of christians pushing their nonsense on....everybody. Look at the the many decades of missionary efforts. Every
Mormon must spend two years traveling around preaching their craziness. Christian groups and churches travel and proselytize CONSTANTLY.
Look at us: We've got "In God We Trust" on our currency. It's nonsense.
Why would anyone trust, or pretend to trust, something that doesn't exist? We could just as easily put "In BigFoot We Trust" or "In Little Green Martians We Trust" on our bills and it would be no different. Christians groups have tried to teach creationism in public schools for many years; tried to put the ten commandments up in public places. They're trying to get taxpayers to pay for private religious schools. Outrageous. We have preachers saying prayers before many sporting events. That is all pushing religion on people--and I've just touched on a few of countless examples. Christians have never been satisfied confining religion to church and the home.....I don't care if people want to believe--fine. But stop pushing it on the public in public places.

You guys bi!ch and moan anytime an athlete uses their platform to get preachy when you disagree with the view, but now you’re complaining that a golf magazine is not giving voice to this athletes non golf views?

Just dribble the ball and shut up.

Criticism of public comments is fine. I have no issue with that on either side. i have a problem when people get censored or fired for their views. You knew of course that was what it was about, when you moved the goal post to create your strawman.

Golfers don't dribble the ball. At least the good ones don't anyway.

You are a danger to children, CoE tells chaplain who said pupils could disagree with woke dogma | Daily Mail Online

"Dr #BernardRandall was asked by his pupils how they could reconcile their Christian faith with the school’s new #LGBT teachings. He told them [..] For this he was reported.., told his sermons would..be censored and..eventually sacked."

Persecutions of Christians has been a thing since Jesus walked the earth. Some of the worse persecutions have actually come from other "Christians" which the Bible warns you about are fake.

Bible pretty much predicts that the world won't accept the true message of Christianity and that there is a force working against it (the demons and devil).

Interestingly, more Christians are imprisoned and killed today than the time of Rome. Most of it happens in nations we don't keep up with like Iraq, Lebanon, Sudan, Central Asia, China, etc.

A classic example is the Assyrians in Iraq. I imagine most people on this board have NEVER even heard of this minority but they have been under a genocide for the last 60 years or so.

Middle East is one of the worse areas over the last 2000 years and it isn't just Christians, tons of minorities (even ones that are Muslim) have been or are actively being killed off. Take the Kurds, Armenians, Assyrians, Coptic Egyptians, Chaldeans, Syriacs (descendants of ancient Syria and Phoenicia).

Most of the peoples of the Middle East that existed around 500 B.C. like Assyrians, Babylonians (Chaldeans), Phoenicians (Syriacs), Armenians, Egyptians (Coptics), etc. are now oppressed minorities in their own homelands due to genocides (mostly by Arab or Turks but sometimes by Greeks, Romans, and Persians as well).

This is why most the Middle Eastern countries are Arab today but if you go back to 500 BC, Arabs were mostly limited to Arabian Peninsula and Sinai.

I guess you can say the same thing about North America with the Native Americans, Europe with the Celts, or even India and China which likely had different people in various regions that were killed off. Human history has, unfortunately, been filled with genocide. There have only been rules and efforts to record and stop it since the 20th Century.
