I know this has probably been brought up, but any chance USC comes calling for Lane? I would assume they would look to Chow first, but who knows?

Again, no. Not only have I heard that USC's AD is not a fan of Lane, but honestly, Lane hasn't yet proven himself worthy of a high-profile gig that's already set up for success like USC.

As far as Carroll leaving, I initially thought the whole issue was the NCAA dropping the hammer as well, but giving Carroll full control over the team in Seattle might have done the trick.

Will be interesting to see how CPC NFL round 2 works out.

My dream scenario. CPC goes to the Seahawks, Urby bolts for USC, The gators cut a last second deal and hire Tressel from OS. Nick Saban bolts for OSU all before NSD. This demoralizes the entire top 150 recruits which all line up to fill Tennessee's 2010 allotment plus 80 - 5 star walk ons. :dance2:

The interim GM is supposedly in Minnesota today trying to secure an interview with Leslie Frazier. Frazier initially turned down an offer to come to Seattle for an interview on the basis that he probably wasn't a serious candidate. I guess Seattle is "trying like heck" to fulfill the Rooney Rule obligations.
