from what I have heard it's pretty much a done deal. They only way Pete would ever come back to NFL is if he got full control which they seahawks said they would give him.

I'm not buying this argument. It's more that he knows that it's the beginning of the end of the USC dynasty. Oregon has arrived, stanford/ucla/cal on the way up. He'll never again have the degree of success there that he's had in the past. Best to cash in now and with a contract as big as rumored with the seahawks, that buys him 2-3 yrs.
