Which is probably what would be needed, since IMO if Carroll leaves, that means they're under serious threat of having the hammer dropped. They're going to need somebody who's the best in the business at doing more with less, Riley.feldmen says their #1 choice woudl be riley at osu. he did turn down sc last time around.
Wouldn't this be an interesting scenario?? Highly unlikely because Mora seems to be a HC failure, at least in the NFL. When he was coaching the Falcons, he got in hot water, and subsequently fired, because he expressed some interest in the HC position at the University of Washington, his "dream job" if I remember correctly. So he winds up in Seattle as HC in waiting, then HC after Holmgren retired. Today, he gets fired from the Seahawks, who hire Pete Carroll. USC woo's Steve Sarkisian, HC at UW for those of you under a rock, to replace Carroll. UW then hires Mora to replace Sarkisian. Let the circle...be unbroken....... hehehehehe
That's the only reason he would leave... It's not just some random up-and-go that he all of a sudden decides to actually entertain this move to the NFL. He's had better opportunities than Seattle.Just because Carroll may leave for Seattle doesn't automatically mean the axe is going to fall at SC. Probably has more to do with money and ego.
Trojan fans who actually stick around during mediocre seasons tend to be the 'hair on fire' types. The Trojans on their forum seem sure he's gone.

At least Paul Allen happens to be one of the better Sports owners in America, and may yet put together a good franchise.
I think the axe is indeed about to fall.
