Pete Carroll wanting to prove himself in the SEC (extreme pipe dream) (merged)

Can we make this guy an 'official candidate?'

I'd like to see how the Leach crowd vets him.

I can't believe I actually opened this thread. We are all dumber now because of it's existence....

Well I haven't seen that Pete Carroll's not interested scroll across ESPN
So we've still got a chance

I'm as much of a glass half-full guy as you'll ever see. Generally though, I'm not delusional.

that would be a helluva hire !
i'd transfer to UT ASAP just to experience UT football while he's there !

LA sucks.. but the beach is nice. and San Diego and San Francisco are nice.

Where in LA have you been? It's an acquired taste, I guess, but I actually love that city.

San Diego is indisputably beautiful.

I have mixed feelings about San Francisco. I lived in the Bay Area for three years and couldn't stand the weather, the filth and the prices. But the food, the culture, the nature and the education was incredible, so it was well-worth it anyway.

LA is definitely eclectic.

I've mostly been the touristy Hollywood stops. Burbank, Beverly Hills. Just seems that all of the people that think they are better than everyone else got together in LA. Ya can't get anywhere without sitting in traffic for an hour. But then again maybe it's just where I've visited.. never gone to Santa Barbara or Santa Monica(which I'm told is nice).

When my wife and I went on our honeymoon to SF we drove down the coast to Monterrey/Carmel. That was very nice. Although I gotta admit it was very tempting to go to Pebble Beach.

But I guess overall it's the attitude thing in LA that turns me off of it.

People in LA are no more arrogant than people anywhere else. trust me. the whole hollywood thing ruins the rep of the other 90% of the population.

Yep, agreed. Tons of arrogance among the old money crowd in the South. You have that segment of society just about anywhere you go; Hollywood just gets more exposure.

Yeah it could be, like i said i've only been to the touristy places,, (hollywood, beverly hills.) trust me Atlanta has enough snobs for everyone.
