From the start!

Eh. I was talking more about that play/series. I distinctly remember the announcer saying that he had possibly hurt his thumb (on a helmet) before that play.

If true, it explains the ball "slippage". He should have immediately taken himself out of the game.

If he had broken his thumb in pre-game it would've been a blessing. Hate it for him but he's terrible.

We may see a freshman at some point this year now

Hopefully starting, S.Ala would be the perfect opportunity to get Riley many and valuable snaps. Butch has already said whoever has the best week of practice starts. Prob will be Worley by default but really wanna see what Ferguson can do and Dobbs but sounding like Riley is a good bit in front of him.But no better time than now with USA this week and 2 tough, but luckily home games after that. Still feel for Nate, he isnt as bad as some are making him to be. He was 4-11 but should have been 8-11, just had a bad interception, the first fumble was his fault being the wrong play and of course the fumble on the sack. Not blaming him for that last int, he never should have been in with a broke thumb. Worley had a few nice throws but he is still missing receivers and had 2 bad interceptions himself and was lucky he didnt have 2 more.

Wouldn't surprise me it was broke on our sideline by one of our own players /coaches.. Like myself they were sick of watching him play too...:birgits_giggle:

Explains the interception? I'm sorry but that guy was a deer in headlights he couldn't have told you his name let alone execute what he was asked to do....:eek:hmy:

The whole first half looked like groundhog day in Baton Rouge and Eric Ainge was stuck at the goal line

And do you really want a freshman out there? You folks wished for that with Dooley at the helm and it has turned Worley into the second coming of David Carr...the guy is so dang gun shy he may never get over it...But like it or not he is our best chance at winning this year...:eek:k:

Personally I think Butch second guessed himself with all the whining with Worley's play from everyone around him and rolled the dice with Peterman...and if he had it to do again I'd bet he wouldn't have done it...If Worley had played the whole game no better then he played the second half we might have still beaten the Gators...

Will a freshman play Saturday? Maybe...but I'd bet win or lose Worley is the man from here on out....:eek:k:

Agreed. Just lost a lot of respect for him.

Why is that? I gained respect for the kid. He was fighting through pain and wanted to stay in and fight through it. Dont know many Coach's or Fans that wants a QB that doesn't want to stay in the game.

With Peterman out for the season and the possibility of another freshman seeing some action and possibly getting in front of him moving forward, there's a chance he may decide to transfer and never see the field as a Vol again. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Seeing Ferguson before the year is over may not be the end of the world.

Agree 100%, willing to bet we will be seeing him Saturday, hopefully from opening kickoff, let the kid show what he can do. Also believe we will be seeing more of a sense of urgency in getting Ferguson and Dobbs ready.
