Peterman out Broken Thumb (rumor)

It dovetails into the line freeze play - where Florida appeared to jump off side - our oline didn't move. We run a fire drill with our receivers and Peterman throws it up with hopes of a touchdown and a free play.

In this case - the refs appeared to miss the jumping off sides by the Fla. defense - our offense didn't move to protect the qb- Peterman held it for a hair too long - and then he broke his thumb against a Fla. rushers helmet - just like Bray did against Georgia - the ball was up for grabs - Croom had to interfere to keep the ball from being intercepted - and we learned that the "freeze play" may not always work the way it was designed.

That seems to be the way it works with this program for the last half dozen years or so. Learn everything the hard way, and then turn around and forget the lesson soon thereafter.
