All im looking for is np to make some plays on the ground and show some athleticism. UF defense us going to be tough. He should get the start for the rest of the year barring an absolute flop and see how he progresses.

Why because he said Worley looked better in practice this week? Lol.

He's been making wrong guarantees for awhile. Worley and Maggit situation are his latest errors. The point is, if you don't know, don't guarantee anything.

Ironically, the outcome of this game may depend as much or more on the performance of the Florida QB as it does ours. Defense needs to bring it.

Clearly DeerPark12 was laying down a huge smokescreen earlier this week when he posted Worley would start and it wasn't even close in practice. :good!:

Let's go 12! Next man up! :clapping:
Clearly he had the gruden scoop.

Lets go Peterman!

as long as he has more accuracy is better than Worley that's all that matters. Worleys accuracy was about the worst ive seen in college football.

big mistake. i would never start a freshman on the road in their first sec game for the first career start. if it was game 6 maybe.

If TN loses, some people here will call Butch an idiot for giving Peterman his first start at a place like The Swamp.

Then in the same breath want Dobbs or Ferg to be the new starter.

This fanbase is very quick to turn hostile against the players/coaches it claims to support.

Truer words have never been spoken. BEST fan base in the country when things go good...WORST fan base in the history of CFB when things go bad.

when the fans and the coaches are aligned.... lets be hopeful and positive. and let's hope peterman rises to the challenge.

i'll hold off on volnation if things go bad because the last thing anyone wants to hear is "oh worley would have been so much better" ............because i think most of us think thats bull****.

This move makes sense. Peterman looks much more like the Zac Collaros type that CBJ used at Cincy for years with success. There's no really good time to switch in mid season, and so I'm ok with us giving Peterman his first start against his home state team while they are emotionally fragile. If we can get a two score lead Gator heads might go down and we might just keep it. That said...same thing if we go down 14 or more. Should be a better game than ESPN expects if we don't turn it over much.

This. I don't understand how the same people who were calling this a loss with Worley can be disappointed with us starting Peterman. You gotta take risk sometimes and hope they pay off.

If it goes bad, no one will want Worley.

It will be the "Put Ferg/Dobbs in!!" show.

Putting an inexperienced QB out there in the Swamp of all places. Apparently the coaches saw enough of Worley to decide he is not the one. Wishing Peterman a great and successful day, he's going to need it.

At least he gives us another option as he has the ability to run. Hopefully he is better at reading the defense he couldn't read the Austin Peay defense very well. He has the arm and running ability let us hope he can have a great game today.

My thoughts exactly.

Who cares if Peterman turns out to be worse than Worley.

It is the choice between someone you think is bad, and someone you know is bad.
