Peterman will Start...

I'm the worst kind of poster? Did I characterize his post
as "stupid crap?" And on what basis did he do so? I
stated my sources and claimed only that I had heard. He
never has identified any source and makes his statement
as though carved in stone.

Perhaps my posts should be unwarranted attacks on
others based on ignorance. It was my understanding, or
misunderstanding, that I had a right to an opinion. My
apologies.

You are a judge of writing styles? Really. I am a
published author (sorry, not comic books), a former
foreign correspondent who spent decades living in other
countries and used to write for an academic journal.
Again, my apologies for not meeting your standards.

Naturally, you missed my point. There are people calling
themselves fans that have no interest in the university.
Some of them neither realize nor care what impression
they make. Some of those impressions leave people
thinking less than others of us would like about a school
that we hold in esteem.

I'm glad you served your country. I guess my service in
Korea was too long ago to count.

All these wonderful accomplishments. Now just arguing on a football message board. I love this place.

how about this we put the best product on the field...
and last I checked high school ball and collage are to VERY different things..

What I have heard is that the team doesn't respect Worley.
That doesn't portend either the needed teamwork that has
not exactly been a hallmark of the Vols these past few
years nor leadership.

I would ask for a source but I'm sure you don't have one.

I will wait until after the Orange and White game for who I hope to start. Worley looked good when put in to the game this past year. I haven't really seen Peterman so I can't make a valid judgement on his merits. He did have alor of hype out of high school, but the so did Worley
GO VOLS

Should be a great spring a lot of competition for positions. If you are a high school WR or Juco you have a chance to start at Tennessee if your good enough.

You know a poster is someone you wouldn't like in real life when they spew their accomplishments on a msg board. 100% chance no ****s are given. All I know is that this guy writes his posts like they are poems.

He must be close personal friends with babyavi.

You can't complain when someone characterizes your information as "stupid crap" and then tell me "It was my understanding, or
misunderstanding, that I had a right to an opinion."
Even "stupid crap" counts as an opinion no matter if it's misguided.

Remember, you are posting on a football message board; this is not some kind of think tank. No one cares that you are a published author or you spent time overseas writing for an academic journal. As an author, you probably know that you should "know your audience." Not that you should dumb down how you write, but your choice of wording is condescending.

"Naturally, you missed my point. There are people calling
themselves fans that have no interest in the university."

Now the back tracking begins. That is not what you said in your post about non graduates. If you had left that point out originally, I would have never replied to your post. There are plenty of fans that are passionate about their team. In some cases there are fans that are so passionate they act irrational. This is the case with any University's football program that is worth its salt.

Thank you for your service in Korea. I'm sure you knew people while serving who hadn't been able to go to college yet, but were fans of their states football team.

Next year, the SEC is going to get a taste of our Peterman

If we win 6 games next year, regardless of the QB it will be an improvement over the last 2 seasons. And that's sad considering We Are Tennessee... But improvement nonetheless. We need a bowl game if only to have our team get some spotlight during bowl season.
