That's very nice and quite generous. I'd expect that sort of largess from Peyton, but 500K seems almost a pittance considering the depth of his financial resources. I've also heard that Bruce Pearl made a sizable donation to the Foundation, which doesn't surprise me considering his fondness and admiration for Pat. But, that's not getting any press.

I think what he was saying is that Pearl also donated a signficiant portion of coin to the foundation as well, However, it didn't get the publicity as Peyton and Ashley have received.

A man gives 500k to cause to help a dear friend and his wife is publicly acknowledged as well, and the only thing allvol can come up with is to point out that the wife had nothing to do with it....classless. What Peyton did was classy - there's your definition.

I think you may be on to something here! The people talking about how much money the Manning's gave to one charity and comparing it to someone who makes less money or someone claiming A. Manning did not make the money should really get a life and quit trying to put a negative spin on people who do good for others. Consider the following points. First, $500,000 is $500,000 no matter who gave it. Second, the Manning's have donated MILLIONS of dollars to other worthwhile charities. I would bet, knowing what a class act they BOTH are, nobody knows how much they WILLINGLY give. Third, it is really none of your business how much money the Manning family makes or gives away. He makes what he is worth in the world of pro football, period. Fourth, if it bothers some people as much as they have stated why don't you go earn money like the "rich and famous" do? Don't give me that crap that you didn't have the opportunity to earn a good living in some field. Some of you sound like Obama and his class warfare bull!
