I just got done looking at some statistics and records and currently Peyton is a 483 touchdown passes, only 25 away from beating favre to be number 1. Peyton is currently at 64,296 passing yards and favre had 71,838. Peyton is on the tail of favre and will soon be the best quarterback to ever step foot on the field. I know this may be a little off topic to this forum just wanted to let everyone know just how close he is to being the best. thanks

He's actually at 487 after today's 4 tds and 64,698 after today's 400 yds. He's closer to breaking those records that even you said..... Just sayin'

I love watching Peyton as much as anyone on here, but you cannot make a rational argument that he is the best considering his record against Brady and how many rings they have in comparison. Now, If he gets a SB this year the whole dynamic changes, but until then one can rationally argue that he isn't.

Not trying to be a jerk, but just saying it how it is.

This argument is silly. Everyone can clearly see that Peyton is, at the very least, just as good as Brady, probably better. Look at the total defense ranking for their respective teams each year and then tell me who's argument is irrational.

We are talking QB play, not organizational success.

It may be silly but it's the argument most sports journalists subscribe to.

I don't think there is any doubt statistically and individually Manning is the best ever.

Comparing a super bowl championship to an individuals stats is not saying how it is. Peyton can still be the best ever if he never wins another super bowl bit holds most of the qb records. A super bowl is won by a team, not one person

Brady is a great qb. But who actually plays qb like Peyton? He will own every qb record in two more years. Montana, Rapelisberger, Bradshaw, Eli & Brady have more titles. Guys like Dilfer, Warner, Doug Williams and Hostetler have as many. But who really compares to Manning? I say no one. He is at or near the top of all qb statiscal categories. Most of the others are in one or two at best. He runs the offense on his team. Hard to name a better regular season qb. He just needs one or more titles to silence all critics though.

Put Peyton on the Pats, and Brady on the Colts and tell me who wins most of those games. Manning and Belicheat would be on another level of dynasty.

I am biased. But I do think Peyton is the greatest. Having said that, the only way he's viewed as the best by most people will be if he can end his career the way Elway did. If he gets just one more ring its a strong argument. You give him two more rings and there's no argument.

Yet Brady is 0-3 since spygate, Peyton would probably have 3 rings too if he knew what plays the other team was running.

Best ever in regular season, ways to go post season I would say Montana, but if Peyton plays 3 more seasons and wins 2 more super bowls, then PEYTON will be the best ever football player not just QB, reminds me of Marty in coaching, something would just go wrong in the playoffs.

I HATE BRADY but if ELI had not prayed for 2 weeks Brady would have 5 rings, spy gate did not help or hurt the other teams by the way ever team was doing it till fat boy Eric got pissed at fluber belly Bill.
