This argument is silly. Everyone can clearly see that Peyton is, at the very least, just as good as Brady, probably better. Look at the total defense ranking for their respective teams each year and then tell me who's argument is irrational.

We are talking QB play, not organizational success.

Tom Brady has the second lowest NFL Pass Interception % of all time. That's why he's been better.

Championships not stats means best IMO. And Joe Montana has Five total championships.

That's ridiculous. Always thought the rings argument was way overrated. Thats like saying AJ McCarron is better than Johnny Manziel because he has a ton of rings. And probably should have had 3 in a row this year.

Football is a team sport. TD passes, yards, and consistency are the measure of the greatest QB...

Brady is a great qb, the fact that he has a low int% doesn't prove that one way or the other.

As for the SB argument answer this question....what did the Pats do when Brady blew his knee up? Cassel had them right on winning ( he sucked when he went to another team). When Peyton went down the Colts tanked. That tells you how the teams compare.

I always find it funny that people say rings are overrated cause it's a team sport. But all stats are somehow a players own doing. Someone had to block for, and catch all those passes and tds. So it's still a team effort. Unless he threw all those to himself.

Best ever in regular season, ways to go post season I would say Montana, but if Peyton plays 3 more seasons and wins 2 more super bowls, then PEYTON will be the best ever football player not just QB, reminds me of Marty in coaching, something would just go wrong in the playoffs.

Jim Brown and Jerry Rice say no way in hell.

Peyton has been the team for pretty much his whole NFL career. He has made the worst wide receivers look outstanding. The defense has always lacked a little on all of peytons team but this year I believe that there going to the super bowl, im not saying there going to win it but they have a very good shot. Brady is a very good qb, but like someone above said that when he went down cassel looked like an MVP but when he left he sucked because he wasn't that good but the team was good. It really proved how much peyton was to the team whenever he got injured and left the colts.

Well those are exceptions but look at dallas clark. He hasn't but up numbers even close to what he had with peyton. Eric Decker had 100 yards receiving his rookie season, now has over 1100. I can think of Brandon stokely, and the 2 Thomas's on Denver now just off the top of my head that went from nothing to studs.

What? He threw to 2 future hall of famers most of his career in Wayne and Harrison.

Manning is the reason Wayne and Harrison could be future HOF inductees. He makes the receivers better, just like he did at UT. He made Marcus Nash and Jermaine Copeland look like All Americans. I don't think either of them played much in the NFL. Imagine what Peyton would have done with Hunter, Patterson , Rivera.

That would of been scary. If peyton threw to Patterson it would be touchdowns all day every day.

The Patriots missed the playoffs that year.

Well you almost got it right. Steve Young got the 5th one. For me its more about his performance in the biggest game, 3 MVPs 68% completion 11tds-0ints 120 passer rating. Pure brilliance.

I never said he didnt make other players better. The guy said he made the worst wide receivers look outstanding, pretending like PM didn't have weapons is just dumb. Ftr Wayne had his second most receptions and yards of his career last year, so I'm guessing he's pretty good.

Jim Brown? Although a great RB during his time, he can't even lay claim to the best RB of all time without an argument, much less best player ever. Barry Sanders would get a lot of votes for the best RB and deservedly so.

That's the thing about trying to claim someone as the best ever. There will always be someone out there that will argue for someone else. Do I think Peyton is the best QB to ever play the game, damn straight I do, but other people will disagree and we'll argue until we all pass out from a lack of oxygen.

Montana's first one was the National Championship in college in 1977.

Can't lay claim? Lol The NFL Network did a top 100 players of all time. Voted on by ex players, coaches, executives, and media. Brown was second, by people with far more football knowledge than us. I love Barry, favorite back ever. But his propensity for negative yards hurts him. IMO

As far PM goes I agree, its all personal opinion and I've went for days discussing it. So I just give my opinion and move on, otherwise my brain hurts. Lol

Manning is the best ever, period. Teams win championships, not individuals. All you have to do is look at the Colts his last year played and the next year without him.

Best ever is who you would pick if you had to bet your house and had to choose sides in a pick up game. Bill Russell, whom I love being a Celtic fan, has the most championships by FAR, and was a great player, but Kareem was the best. That's all there is to it. No one has ever played the QB position like Peyton.

If I'm going pick up game, I might take Randall Cunningham. Lol Also I don't trust anyone that doesn't say MJ.

I'm pretty sure (since we're imagining) that CP's lack of route running & discipline would've been a burr in Peyton's saddle.

Now if Peyton was able to refine CPs skills? Well then...wow.
