The Titans will welcome all you front running Colts fans now that your team is about to go 2-14.

Really going to be that guy and start up all this bickering again?

Kerry Collins is, at best, a game-manager if you put Superbowl talent around him. To be blunt, Indy is a plain not very good team that rides Peyton to the playoffs every year. That might still happen, but only because they might find themselves in the worst division in football this year.

This team has very good players. Mathis, Freeney, Collie, Clark, Addai, Saturday, Wayne, Vinatieri, Brackett.

Yes, it does. Probably is, 90% of the NFL has more great players.

Addai /= great

Clark, yes. Collie, eh..... no.

Mathis and Freeney are great, Saturday is above average for sure.

The problem is there aren't enough good players to back up the few great players they've got.

Wrong.

You do realize Collie started only 6 games, played in 9 and had 8 TDs?

Other than Vinatieri, who will be unaffected by this issue, this is the worst nightmare for the rest of these players. With Peyton out, these players are going to be exposed as overrated. The receivers stats will fall dramatically. The defensive players are going to get exposed because for the first time in their careers they are going to be playing on a team that is built to play with a lead but instead finds itself constantly playing from behind. Teams won't be having to make up ground on the scoreboard anymore, so they won't have to attempt to pass against the Colts as much. They will run even more often than they used to against the Colts, knowing that they have the upper hand against the Colts in a close low scoring game. Freeney and Mathis are great against the pass. They are average at best against the rush.

So what? Look who was throwing those passes to him. Joey Kent and Marcus Nash set the world on fire at UT. They got quickly drummed out of the NFL when Peyton was no longer their QB.

Yes, Indy has a few great players. Every single team in the League has at least a few great players. The only reason Indy has been any good in the last decade is because of Peyton's ability to take mediocre players and make them look great. If Peyton doesn't come back, the Colts will suffer this year.

Glazer reports Peyton could have surgery by this weekend. Says he doesn't hear that it will put him out for the season.

@Jay_Glazer Jay Glazer said:
While I'm hearing Manning hasn't had surgery yet, I wouldn't be surprised if he has it before the weekend!

RT @Brian_Villanova: @Jay_Glazer would that put him out for the year?>I'm not hearing that it will

Not if they play Collins, If they play Painter (which they won't) then yes they would be in the running

With the Colts makeshift/new OL, I just can't see Collins lasting the whole season. Teams will blitz like crazy knowing Collins isn't very mobile and the Colts can't run the ball. If Collins goes down and Painter has to play, there isn't a floor on how bad the offense could be.

You said Britt never did anything, but he put up 9 TD's in 10 games. So your argument holds no weight, much like the rest of your posts.

Had cervical fusion surgery today, out minimum 2-3 months. IMO, you can forget that. He's out for the year, minimum. C-spine fusion surgery isn't very conducive to football related activities. Sad day.

The Colts should feel good about that contract he signed.

No kidding. Good for Peyton for getting that money, but that contract is going to hurt Indy for awhile. Peyton could still come back and play at a high level again, but if he doesn't, that's really going to hinder them. I think only the first three years are guaranteed, though.

Regardless, I hope this isn't the end. In fact, I don't believe it is. I believe he'll play again.
