Peyton Manning to miss entire season

I think a majority of them would answer that based on which team is having the better season at the time. But, there's a reason college football stays away from Sundays.

Is it the same reason the nfl stays away from saturdays til the ncaa regular season is over?

ESPN has a college game on tonight. Ok State vs Arizona. The NFL game tonight is on NBC, a rival. Which game do you think ESPN spent all day talking about?

The average Sunday Night/Monday Night NFL football game in the regular season gets about the same ratings as the BCS National Title Game in college.

According to Nashville sports shows, the Titans have higher ratings in Knoxville than the Vols. What is the logic which explains this?

It's not a knock on TN. The Vols have a huge following for a college football team, but it's like comparing apples to oranges when comparing the popularity of any college football team to a NFL team. It's similar to comparing AAA baseball to major league baseball.

Because in Knoxville, on Sunday, everyone watches the Titans on a TV. On Saturday, over half the city's population is at Neyland Stadium. Can you work those people into the ratings calculation?

I live in VA now and spent 7 years before that in AZ. Where else should I go to acquire this great knowledge?

LOL!

This explains it. You have no idea what's going on with the fan bases of the Vols or Titans in East, Middle or West Tennessee.

you're probably right. No way I spent 20+ years living in TN, graduated from UT and still return quite a few times per year to visit my UT alum parents (who have season tickets). I also have zero friends still living in TN who are fans of each of the teams listed. I also give $0 to the school or AD

spot-on analysis by you
