Peyton Manning to miss entire season

oh what ever would we do :eek:hmy:

Actually, if the Titans did leave, many Nashvillians would be unemployed and the economy and revenue that the Titans bring to the middle Tennessee would completly seize. In turn, leading to even more loss of jobs/lay offs. Not to mention all the charitable work that in need Tennesseans would miss out on.. so you may take a non chalant stance, but the reality is the impact would be greatly horrendous for those affected.

Memphis hates the Titans because they played one year there as the Oilers and jumped ship to Nashville.

Not exactly how it happened, I don't believe. They were always Nashville's team, but they had to play a season in Memphis while LP Field was finished, because Vanderbilt wouldn't serve alcohol if they played in the Dores' stadium or something along those lines. They were never going to be a Memphis team.

I think part of it is because they were supposed to play 2 seasons in Memphis, but there was no support, and Memphis smelled so bad or something like that, they played their 2nd season somewhere in Nashville. Either Bridgestone Arena or Vanderbilt's stadium, cannot recall.

Memory is fuzzy, but point is they were never going to take up permanent residency in Memphis.

Anyway, ESPN reporting PM had a cervical fusion conducted today.

If so, take care of yourself, Peyton. VFL

The Titans are way more popular than the vols. Sorry to burst your bubble. The vols are the most popular in east TN, the least populated area of Tennessee.

That statement is simply not true. In fact, It's kind of stupid.

Common procedure for the public. Actually is now performed in 15-20 minutes by some surgeons in outpatient surgery centers.
That being said, I mentioned a few days ago that I thought he was done.

Pretty safe to say this season is over for him. If this new surgery doesn't help then I'm afraid he'll need to retire. He doesn't need to risk further injuring of the neck.

Memphis was wanting a pro team but nashville got it.. memphis paper ran a headling "Our dream -- Their team", thats alot of why memphis didnt support them

Yep, lack of support. The Liberty Bowl crowd was awful.

I am getting reports that Peyton will retire at some point in this season once he has contracted to become a HC at a "major" university.

This is correct. Manning is reported to be out at least 2 months. The main issue is the regeneration of nerve tissue.

He will not be put on injured reserve. The Colts still hope to get him back sometime before the end of the season.

C'mon, Kerry Collins.

Manning actually just got out of surgery. No plans for injured reserve as doctors monitor fusion result, per sources.
