Here's Steele's predicted final SEC ranking based on his bowl projections:
1. Bama - National title game vs. OSU
UGA - BCS Sugar bowl, SEC tie-in
but then shows:
2. LSU
3. UF/aTm
4. UF/aTm
5. USC
6. Ole Miss
7. UT
8/9. VU

I'm good with this. If we get matched with OSU, we might as well order the rings early and just hand them out at halftime.
Since he has both Bama and UGA under the #1 spot for some reason, shouldn't UT then technically be at the #8 spot in the SEC rather than #7?
Sure it can. Most of these teams schedule 4 easy non conferene games so they would only have to go 2-6 in conference to be bowl eligible.Steele also had Arkansas at 8/9 to the Liberty and Auburn at #10 to the Indy. He has Missouri going to the Beef O'Brady's Bowl as a replacement for the ACC.
So Steele only sees 2 SEC teams finishing below .500: UK and MSU. I don't see how the SEC could possibly get 12 teams into bowls. That's just not going to happen.
