Thought we could get a thread started for people that couldn't make the trip. I am in Bandon now, but will post pictures of Eugene when I get there tomorrow.

I'll start with some pictures of Bandon Dunes golf course, the #1 golf resort in the country. Saw a ton of other Vols there playing as well. Thankfully, I have a buddy that works there so we were able to get on for free.

Even if I had a buddy that worked there I would have to pay to play as Im so awful Id feel bad for hacking that place up. Looks awesome. Has the US Open ever been played there? I don't follow golf so just curious. Have fun out there!

You have to try the other courses at bandon sometime. Pacific dunes has great views too.

Looks like a nice day at Bandon Dunes. What's the temp like? I see the flags are sticking straight out..... LOL. Have a little cross breeze for those high 9 iron shots?

Well that would cost you about $250 a round, so you take it when you can get it! Ha.

And no, the tour doesn't come here. It's a relatively short course, especially for the pros. They would eat it alive.

Multnomah Falls is quite nice. Did you make it up to the scenic hwy and the observatory at Crown Point? Great views of the Columbia Gorge. Columbia Gorge Hotel is a great place for a stop as well. Could be a lot of sailboarders out there today.

I'm not sure what the temp is, but yeah, the wind here is pretty crazy because of the ocean. Makes it difficult, considering I had never played anything like it before. Ha. Shot 81.

Friend shot 73 though. Took the L today.

That is a beautiful course. I live about a mile from the nicest course on the planet but us normal people can only go on one week out of the year. And thats just to watch!

P.S. I no longer live in Alabama.

Don't believe it's hosted any big tournaments- just some national amateur events. It was a hot topic when it was first built. I would say that Bandon, The American Club (Kohler, WI), and the Pebble Beach Complex are probably the top 3 resorts that a golfer would want to play. There are other great oness, but these 3 are probably the most beautiful.
